  1. Don't think this is going to work to well... on Build Your Own Stun Gun · · Score: 5, Informative

I suppose its possible that "some" cameras have the right hardware inside to make this. However, personal experience leads me to believe that there are cameras which will deliver just enough shock to piss someone off even more. In fixing a rather nice digital camera a while back, I just happened to touch the wrong wire and... ZAP!!! Ouch? Yes. A knockout? Definately not. Confusing, especially since the batteries werent in the thing. Put it back together, tried it, ended up charing the thing again. Took it apart again. Discovered another wrong spot to touch... ZAP! Equally painful the second time, but still no knockout... That time I ended up throwing the thing in a brief hand spasm which resulted in it landing on my leg and... oh no.. ZAP! That was number 3 and damn I hated that thing but it was still just painful and nothing like a stun gun should deliver. Heck. Not even as bad as picking up a damp laptop battery and having it discharge into you. That'll make your arm numb for hours ;)

The difference, is something I've had to deal with at various jobs. Although I can after seeing a person for quite some time (several hours or meeting/talking with them 5-6 times for an hour or more) I can keep their face and name in memory, I cannot do this on a short term basis. Example. I've worked in a grocery store and a K-Mart. People will often stop you to ask where something is, and, if the item is out, you have to go check in the back for them. When people would ask me for something, and I'd have to go to the back, I'd have a problem finding them if they moved from the time I left to the time I came back. Half the time, I would be lucky enough that either the person didnt move, was waiting for me and spoke up, or was wearing some ungodly horrible color of clothing that I could instantly identify and find. The other half of the time, the person was wearing something dull and wandered off a little way and I would have no chance to recognize them unless they came back to me. Really, its a pain in the ass to be that way, as your always wondering if your going to find the right person when you get back from something. But its nothing you cant live with... I'd imagine it'd be horrible for it to get worse and not recognize family...

Number portability is DEFINATELY nothing new. You mean to say that every time an AT&T customer decided they wanted a newer, better cell phone, they had to get a whole new number because they couldnt have the number switched over to the new phone? Never gotten a new phone and been asked if you want to check if the same 4 digits as your home phone are open? Gee, that's news to me. And its also pretty pathetic if you didnt know companies could set the number to anything the felt like in 5 minutes time and a couple phone calls. The only thing stopping the companies from doing this from the beginning is that it might mean they lose a few customers. All the hardware/software had to already be in place for keeping numbers working for their current customers.

1.) Linux has plenty of great fonts, it just depends what distro you pick and if you install more than just the base packages.

3.) Great, so linux gets to turn into Windows by taking away the free choice of picking your own gui? I don't think so! MORON.

This country may be free because a few wars were fought and won, but that's not a reason to push someone who wont fight into one.
