Agreed 100%, the Sega Saturn pad (2nd revision in NA) is without a doubt the best gamepad ever designed and still is.
I even bought an adaptor so I could use it on my pc to play Space Taxi 2, MAME, etc...
And all the Genesis pads rank right behind it, the 'slim' 6 button (I think released with the Genesis 3), then the wireless 6 button, then the Official wired 6 button, and finally the original 3 button.
Sega nailed these right back to the Master Sytem, the D-pad needed improvement, (and it could still do proper diagonals unlike the NES pad), which they nailed dead on later, but the tactile feel of it's fire buttons was literally a thing to behold.
PS: yeah, I was the 'Sega' kid... PSS: any typos in this are solely the fault of the incredibly bad OLPC keyboard and vodka. PSSS: just in case you could'nt infer, I am also a fan of the Dreamcast controllers... Sega is just really good at D-pads... PSSSS: I should really get out more often...
Wow, just looked it up Amazon.ca, not available on DVD, and the only seller right now wants $99.99USD for the VHS version...
I love good movies I've never heard of before but that's too steep for my blood...
But thanks for the suggestion, I will 'bide my time...', it took a while for Lady Jane and Flesh & blood to come out on DVD as well... I'm glad I waited as I saw some people paying ridiculous prices for those too...
On my Palm IIIc, I just turned DST off, changed the time. Now it's like any other clocked device in the house, I have to change it twice a year, no different, no patch needed.
Hi, sorry not replying to anything, just have a question as I'm new to the DS and thought someone here might help (just got one as a belated xmas gift, belated because everyone was sold out of the black DS Lite and I was very much holding out for it...)
I understand the Opera webrowser came out for the DS in Japan but can't find jack about a North American release, just that it's "coming". Or is there another way I can go online with the DS now?
I think it's a great platform but would honestly like to see some practical applications, like as I mentioned, a webrowser and I think a PDA would work really well on the DS (and give me an excuse to retire my trusty Palm IIIc).
I find myself playing it (with the whole two games I have at the moment!) and thinking... "cool, but I know this could do sooo much more!"
A fellow worker came up to me and said "Mark, I cant print anything, the printer keeps saying Load A4 paper. "What the Fuck is A4 paper???"...
well of course I nearly fucking died laughing at the "reverse" Office space and showed him how to adjust his default printer settings to "Letter" sized paper, but christ I bust a gut just thinking about it, funny thing is this co-worker loves Office Space and didn't get the real-life similarity until I pointed it out to him...
If Natalie Portman says Pi=3 then I would most certainly agree with her just for the chance to crawl 2 miles over hot coals using my nothing but my lips to suck the lug nuts off the vehicle that takes her panties to the cleaners...
Never heard of this thing ten minutes ago... just ordered it! In Black!
I feel like Calvin waiting for his propeller beanie...

and one fewer now...
Now there's some serious-assed Easter Eggs!
thank you! I've been reading slashdot since 1999 (on my Dreamcast, didn't have a modern computer at that time...)
I very rarely post but I wanted you to know that was the most informative post I think I've ever read... Kudos to you Good Sir!
PS: I am posting this from my XO laptop and I must say the keyboard really blows...
Wow, did they design that control room based on the Original Enterprise bridge or what???
Don't hold it in, tell us how you really feel!
I have Firefox 1.5 installed on my very old ME machine, works just fine as my dial up backup....
Bingo, I'm 37 and haven't been into a brick and mortar game store in ten years, I buy all my games online.
"That little rat-looking thing just got ATE! Damn, Nature, you Scary!"
awww, don't hold it in, tell us how you REALLY feel...
Don't hold it in, tell us how you REALLY feel!
Jeez, don't hold it in, tell us how you REALLY feel!
and it kills me, they are doing the same thing, yet Microsft is "Evil" and when Google does the same thing they are shitting Sunshine?
oh the hipocracy that we call Slashdot...

Can we assume you use an electric razor too? Otherwise I can't see how you leave your house every morning without unintentionlly killing yourself.
Consloles are not terribly difficult to use.
Unless you don't have access to electricity. But I'm assuming you do... y'know, for the razor...
wow, do they have a no-indoor-plumbing policy too?

Markimus of K.
"Bikini Beach Deathmatch Nude Teenage Volleyball: The Game of the Year Edition."
Holy Mother of God! There's a "Killer App" right there! What console is it for, I'll buy that in an instant...
Sir, I salute you.
and my real life corrolory to that is...
A fellow worker came up to me and said "Mark, I cant print anything, the printer keeps saying Load A4 paper. "What the Fuck is A4 paper???"...

ok, so keep using 1.5 on your ME box, that's what I'm doing and it still works fine.
if you don't have a TV at all, what do you watch your rented DVD's on?
