    the switch doesnt turn the power on until it confirmed that the device can handle it. It's a special combination of resistors between the wires that the switch tests for and then turns on the juice.

    hmm. but if you need to access window boxes, you probably want to access them from everything that offers samba-support and so you likely want to have samba-support build into everything that supports samba. So this sounds like a job for global useflags to me...

    I recommend ufed to edit the useflags. nice ncurses-frontend. reading their description and turning them on/off on the same line :-)

    All those viruses, dialers and worms comming in via email, malicious websites and so on, ARE Third party software indeed.

    You are asuming that there IS a market. The OP stated that there is currently no market for linux kernels, because there is only one potential buyer and one potential seller who cant agree on a price --> no trade, no market, no market price.

    In your example there is a market for collector cars which can be used to find a market price.

    But it would be better to say "priceless" than "nothing"

    but the exception is, that private households only have to pay for the first device. (Children over 18 with an own income are not counted to belong to the same household, neither are devices in multiple houses, caravans etc.)

    to sum up that other AC-answer...

    Public TV was installed BY the gouvernment (in a time where no private investor could afford a camera or more than a microphone) BUT it went a long way to also make laws, by which the gouvernment waives most of its influence on public broadcasting.

    Giving false information about the number of radios and tvs in your house can be fined up to 1000EUR.

    But the organization set up to collect those fees never found a judge who issued a warrant just on the suspiscion that s/o watches TV without paying tv fees...

    that might not neccessarily have been a pedophile. Chances are, it was only one of the usual assholes trying to disturb every form of communication. I think there might be a pattern: * adult postings in kids chatrooms * Trollpostings on /. * prank calls on the phone * rotten.com pictures in adult chats * ... you should teach your kid to use that "ignore" button early. (that goes in line with not giving realname and so on)
