I saw the Doom trailer with Serenity too. The entire audience laughed ass off. Have they learned nothing from Uwe Boll and the disaster that was House of the Dead. There's nothing stupider than trying to make a movie look like a videogame. It's like trying to make Swordfish taste like Kobe beef.
I wish Jackson luck but there has never been a good movie based on a game (and vice versa.)Maybe he can break the curse.
Put on top of that the negative cultural ideal of the movie theatre right now
You aint kidding. I went to see Serenity yesterday. First time in a movie theater since Batman Begins (and I saw that in Imax so it doesn't count). They actually showed commercials for movies before the now standard Coke/Gieco/Fandango commercials and then proceeded to show actual movie previews including a preview for one of the movies they'd shown a commercial for 15 mins before.(Something with Orlando Bloom and Mary Jane Watson(-Parker).wtf!
I was thinking of checking out A History of Violence but not if I have to sit through 30 minutes of brainwashing...
No Husband. She was never married and raised me by herself. And she actually didn't like it all that much which is probably why she quit a year after I moved from home. One time she told me as a teen she wanted to be a welder, but someone convinced her that lawyers are more prestigous.

But how does she taste with fava beans ?
I think you're mixing your references.

You're such an asshole. As a lawyer my Mom did mostly Immigration and Family Law. Even then she avoided the messy divorces and custody battles like the plague. Believe me she didn't get rich doing that stuff.
People like you always lump all lawyers in together, until its your ass in the Defendants chair.

My Mother. After Law School, three law degrees, 18 odd years as a lawyer and five as a Judge. She suddenly quit and went to culinary school to become a pastry chef.
Some people can be happy with just a big paycheck and extra letters after their name but mostly they are the minority.
No I think the parent was trying to posit that the booze runners (Capone et al) who got rich off of Prohibition lifted America out of the great depression. Which I suppose could be possible.
If content or expression is well within accepted community standards or it has intrinsic value...
According to an electronic memo from FBI headquarters, established legal precedents indicate that conviction is most likely in cases where the content "includes bestiality, urination, defecation, as well as sadistic and masochistic behavior."
In Kansas maybe this two staements would jive, but take a walk through Folsom Street fair in SF and tell me "sadistic and masochistic behavior" between consenting adults isn't within community standards.
I thought foolishly that this shit would stop when Ashcroft left office. I guess not.
It's interesting that the National Assocation of Theater O shares and acronym with another organisation who actually usefulness is doing that toilet bowl spiral.
Either way, it's not that hard to acquire a large collection of music that is not crap.Yes it is. Even with Lossless codecs 100gb is a lot of music. If you tell me you're a DJ or you have it for some proffesional reason that one thing, but no one can possibly have 100GB of music that they like. Sound to me like you're a digital pack rat and I can prove it. What song do you have the most versions of and what are the differences?
I'll tell you mine.
6 versions of Rasputina - Transalvaynian Concubine.

Read the article but not the paper. I could see some immediate flaws. For people who learned traditional typing methods and make few mistakes (ie. most heavy computer users) this could work.
For people like me who never learned to type the "correct way" and use a mish-mash of styles and methods, or someone with fat fingers who makes a lot of mistakes, or the typing dyslexic, the system might be flawed. Also I'd imagine a twisted Keyboard would sound very different from a rectangular straight keyboard.
Its not a catch-all system but it would probably work on most people...
Having a recording of short known sequence could probably narrow the error margin a lot though....
good food. The IT guy didn't freak out when I installed Firefox on my first day (Always a sign that someone, somewhere knows what they're doing). Parking sucks but I don't drive so that works out.
Honestly its so damn huge I couldn't tell you much about the rest of the company, they could be making self-sealing stem bolts in the building next door for all I know.
Actually now that I've had time to let the initial irrational rage subside, I realize its not that really that big of deal. Even with the longer and longer days this job is a cake walk compared to some of the jobs I've had (loading trucks for UPS, installing fiberglass installation and retail *shudder*)
I shit you not. And while as you say "Internships are not about getting paid but gaining valuable industry experience which will separate You from the pack come graduation time." I'm only listed as an Intern and not an Engineer because I don't have a degree. I didn't get this job because of an Internship program but because I have 3 years of experience. And if you beleive that people don't deserve some recognition no matter how small you think their job is then you've been "important" too long.
I get 401k and health insurance through school is pretty good unless I get cancer or sometime. The Nano (even though I don't need or even really want one beyond the new toy factor) would go a long way to make up for the low pay, 12 hour shifts and lack of appreciation. Its the principle.
I think they're talking more of the crazy insurgent camped out ina building with a 40 AK-47 type of Sniper.

Yeah we have opinions, you don't?

But thats not at all the point is it? Yeah, its disgusting and probably bad for you but so is cheap Vodka. Are we outlawing that?

Max Headroom would have defenitely gotten my vote. But this list is shit anyway. Voyager is 12 but Firefly is 17? Blasphemey.

Since I've got none installed on this computer, I believe I have proved you wrong.
Then why did you buy the CDs in the first place?

They need to start supporting ogg at the very least.
something stripped down, zero flash and optimized for games, it could even be CLI to actually launch the games. It's all I use XP for anyway...

So maybe this is the new patent war. Pre-emtive hirings.
Now if I can only convince them that I'm worth something...
