It's pretty obvious what his plan it. Now that he's obtained a copy before release he can upload it unto the net where all the kids can download it and play it for free ensuring Take-Two doesn't make a profit.
certain rights were temporarily rescinded during World War II and were re-established afterwards
The only problem with that arguemnt is that WWII had clearly defined end. Do you really think the guv is gointo hunt down every last terrorist cell? Ever?
There are meant to be many, many files full of manuscripts that J. R. Tolkien wrote but never published in book form.
I never saw that as being a good thing. There are reasons why authors don't publish every little thing they write, and it probably because they realized it was crap. They really shouldn't be publsihing stuff a writer didn't want published after they're dead, to say nothing of 'finishing' their work. Its almost never worth it.
That's exactly it. Consenting adults demean and beat each other senseless all the time, and no one is killed or maimed. This has nothing to do with violent sex or violent porn. It has to do with self-control and clearly defining the line and never crossing it.
Why should my rights be infringed because a small minority can't tell where fantasy ends?
Has Pluto put out a press release yet. Are it and it supports going to have a celebration party? Is Jupiter going to be there? I've got a 'thing' for gas giants...
I agree and I'm American. the "They'd download it" thing just makes me feel like they're trying to insult my intelligence. So what if they download it? I might care if they software developers, and if you could actually know they'd download it.
I never understood why this was a racial slur towards Native Americans, I mean it was the white man that gave them a bunch of land treaties and then broke all of them...
About 2 years ago Amex called me up and offered an increase in my credit line to 10,000, from 2000. I worked in retail at the time making less than $10 and hour. I said no thanks, how about lowering my APR. The guy tells me he can't offer me that. What a country.
Any provider that abandons flat-rate pricing risks losing customers in drovesP.
Unless they all do it, then we're screwed. There are a lot of countires that still have pay-per minute systems not becuas ethey infustructure can't support flat-rate, but becuase all the telcom companies have agreed not to offer that option.
Blockbuster was at a disadvantage from the get go. I bet a large percentage of Netflix's first customers were disgruntled Blockbuster customers, so they didn't have a chance of getting those people back. I'll not be unhappy to see Blockbuster close up shop. Netflix et al will get the mass market and the Mom and Pop Brick and Mortars will cover the specialty market and everone (mostly) will be happy and (mostly) un-ripped off.
seriosuly just got done playing Need for Speed: MOst Wanted and there's quite a few Burger King billboards ingame. Frankly I suprised its not done more.
Was I the only one that liked the remake? I remember seeing a mid-week matinee, there were five people in the theater and two walked out about 15 minutes in.
I also liked Contact so maybe I'm just wierd like that
Thats what I thought too with my first job but then before I knew it I was working 10-12 hr days. Didn't stop them from laying me off when they "restructured" a few months later.
It usually takes getting burned a few times before you get jaded enough not to fall into the company line.
It's downright ingenius
Crank Yankers was cancelled a while ago. If you watched the Daily Show maybe you'd be more up to date on current events...

I've always been curious but never given it a try. I work swing shift so I'm out of work too late to hit the grocery most days.
LOL! I think that one was way too sublte for the /. audience.

The next-gen infantry weapon will of course be built into large swords...
