    ....legally take apart cherry (ie, decompile, hex edit, reverse engineer) the cherry exe to compare it to pear? IF they did this and found it to be the same, could pear counter-sue for reverse engineering? Would it hold up in court?

    ....To make a system quiet, To make it DEAD quiet is harder, however if you just want a gentle hum instead of a giant roar, do the following

    -Get a good psu (just got a X-Connect, dual fan, very very quiet)
    -Buy a few new 80mm case fans, or clean and oil the ones you have.

    I was amazed at how quiet I could get my system (which has 4x case fans, 2x video card fans + the one on the card) 2 in my power supply and one on my processor) With a little dusting and some WD-40.

    A highend mobile chip would be awesome, I would happily toss the extra money for a desktop replacement if it ran the games just as well as my current desktop, (which shouldnt be hard, A64 3000+, 1024,R9800Pro)

    I have been waiting for an athlon 64 notebook with a mobile radeon x800 for months...anyone know when this thing is due for release?

    I personally would love to see routers that you could install 'modules' onto to control things ranging from spam, to virueses, to spy/malware. I know this can be done with custom machines with router software, however you don't get the reliability that IS cisco.

    I really think people going overboard with these types of things is cool however, i would really like to see some effort being put into very clean looking cases. Ones that really make people drool over the beauty that a computer can be. I know off the shelf computers that look like things other than computers exist, I just sometimes wonder why they aren't featured that often, especially when things like this are so opinionated it is hard to say what is worth noting and what is not.

    My idea for a while has been to require everyone who wants on the net to have a license, You need a license to drive on a highway, why not the information super highway? I think people should need to read some simple internet etiquette and then take a simple test making sure they know what they are in for, and to make sure that they will help contribute, instead of burden the internet.

    The only thing that makes me feel a little good about all this talk about possible phone 'spam' is that I do not think it will ever (hopefully) become as widespread as typical e-mail spam is. I think the airtime charges alone would keep a lot of overseas would-be spammers out of the game. ::knocks on wood::

    I see all these replies about this saying things like "they are just sinking to the level of spammers" or "this is indeed a DDOS", So what if it is both? Do we really want to sit around while they try to fight spam with politics? If it really drives up traffic that much then maybe the spammer's ISP's will reconsider letting spammer's use their networks. I am unsure why everyone tries their best to criticize operations that may indeed work, even if those methods are not what some people see as ethical.

    If it puts out CO2 then it isn't zero emissions, It can only be dubbed zero emissions if it takes IN something and puts OUT NOTHING. The fact that it puts out CO2 instead of other chemicals really isn't the point.

    Even if you cannot shut off the car there are a few ways to get the car to slow down, you can try to rip the car into neutral, when in neutral you will be able to stop normally, if that doesnt work a combination of normal breaks (pushing VERY hard) and e-break will typically slow the car enough to get it to hit a ditch or other semi-soft object without to much injury (Try to get into a field, less traction = less speed)

    Not trying to troll here, I don't understand why people are trying to call shinanigans on Google, if they have a bias then that is their right to. If you do not like the services they are providing then don't use it. It's not like they are slandering anyone or posting false headlines.
