  1. Driver Quality? on GF FX 5900 Ultra vs. ATi Radeon 9800 Pro · · Score: 1

I've been really tempted to upgrade to a Radeon 9600, 9700, or balls-out 9800 card from my GeForce 3. But the only thing holding me back from making the move to ATI are there drivers as they have always left a bad taste in my mouth in the past. Now I know the new ATI drivers are unified like nVidias. But I'm just not convenced they are still mature enough. Anyone else care to share some personal insight on ATI driver stability and the like?

  4. Break the cycle on Working Hard? · · Score: 1

"Shouldn't they provide for me? I mean, I look at how much they take out of my paycheck, those motherfuckers owe me something!" This Mr Anonymous is why we shouldn't be dependent on goverment. The more you depend on the Gov for your needs, the more they will tax you for the services. But the problem is, if you get taxed to much, then you will feel obligated to use the Gov as a major for of support. This is bad...very very BAD. It's a downward spiral to communism. What you can do as an individual is vote wisely, and choose not to depend on the Gov for your needs.

  5. Wrong on Working Hard? · · Score: 1

"And, if you like liberty for conglomerates at the expense of individual sovereignty, vote Libertarian" You couldn't be more wrong even if you tried. Being a libertarian is about individual sovereignty and freedom based around the foundation that was put to gether by out forefathers in the Constitution of the United States of America.

"One of his suggestions was to give the vote only to women" Is he NUTs!!!! If you want to utterly destroy America, do just that. Women act based on emotion rather then logic. It's not a criticism, but rather an anthropological fact (basic child caring instincts). You may see this post as a troll and/or even hate me. But was the US really better off when women were alowed to vote? Hey, I speek from my mind, not my heart.

is very entertaining...to say the least. Most of the content is utter BS, but it still is entertaining to listen to at night. But ever once in awhile, you get a diamond in the rough (guest wise). For example, there was a four hour interview with Kevin Mitnik. I wish I had taped it for my friends. It was AWSOME!!. To bad Slashdot doesn't post such radio events as important guests are due to be available

There was a mod I saw posted where you would replace the top HD cover with plexyglass for that 1337 look. Anyways, you just steam up the bathroom with hot water. That way it collects on whatever dust is in the air at the time and pulls it to the ground. NOTE: Use the harddrive for at least 30 minutes as to warm it up. You want to have as little condensation build up in the inside as possible.

Computers are getting so complex to the point we better just focus on making one giant mega/hyper computer to be self aware. Then, that computer can do it's own hardware and software engineering for smaller devices...such as your average user PC. In other words, I think the rate of projected progress in computers is far outstripping the human eliment to manage the growing trend in technology. I mean, damn. It's getting to the point I'm having to patch bloody firmware drivers for my hardware!!

Your "Super speeders" are from the age of 18-25 give or take a few. Generally those that have the balls also have the best driving skills. So they arn't too much of a problem to worry about from a statistic stand point (freeway or highway). Non the less the law is still the law. Now were you really get into problems are those that run a red light at an interesection or a stopsign. It only takes a relative 15MPH hit to cause some serious damage or even death. It's all about good momentum. Which BTW is why SUVs are frowned apon (not that I care, I'm sports coop guy myself)

It's getting to the point of living on the trust of others rather then with cold hard cash. Let me explain... How many people lease a car rather then buying one? Of those that buy, do they pay in full up front or choose to take out a loan? Of course, you could by a used car but that can be a risky money pit also.
