    The real questions Congress should be asking:

    Regarding the leaking of the identity of a covert CIA agent and the entire front company that she worked for. Their area of expertise was of course weapons of mass destruction.

    IIRC disclosure of the identity of covert agents is a federal felony.

    Congress should demand to see the after action reports on how many assets were comprised (people killed) as a direct result of this.

    I used to have BSOD as my screen saver for an earlier version of Fedora (IIRC). It was always amusing when people would stop by to chat, a little while later, they'd see my PC suddenly BSOD! The looks I'd see (on other people's faces) makes me laugh just remembering.

    There is a reason the framers of the Constitution feared a strong central government. That's why the first attempt (see Articles of the Confederation) failed. The central government was designed to be SO Weak as to be totally ineffective.

    What's education coming to nowadays? Or maybe you went to a charter school.

    Well IIRC, Title 18, U.S.C. 1030 makes "unauthorized computer access" a federal felony in addition to a civil matter.

    So you are advocating what exactly?

    Just because you're in Canada doesn't mean that your actions aren't crimes, because they affect a computer in the US.

    We don't, but fascists like you have knee jerk reactions based on the charges not the evidence or integrity of the evidence or any of the facts in evidence. One of those facts is that an FBI agent perjured himself on the stand to obtain the conviction.

    Where does it end?

    If it is OK to do to catch pedophiles then it is OK to do the catch terrorists and I know I've read several accounts of where patriot and other anti terror acts have been used for entirely unrelated crimes.

    I've submitted several well documented (IMHO) "events" to the FBI. I got a call once (RE: hacking of AT&T wireless website for new account sign-up). Didn't go any further. And I got an email another time (fraud) in effect saying sorry, try the local PD.

    I have personally witnessed outsourcing of people who make $1.25/hr in the Dominican Republic. "Their Jobs" are now over in China where the pay is $0.10/hr. 2/3 of the factories in the tax free zone of La Romana are now sitting vacant.

    Now, that is F-ed up!
