Get a deposit! Many a time have I spent putting together proposals, drafts, or even finished projects only to have the client do one of the following: Die, disappear, decide not to pay, or emigrate to China.
I can calim two sightings: One parked, doors open, outside my local grocery store. Second time, 7 of 'em drove right past me on the street. I think that was the entire production line!
I'm perfectly willing. I'll gladly go door-to-door to eradicate this POS software. I'll even do it for free as long as somebody wants to help out with travel expenses.
We should have been on the moon 20 years ago. Right now, we should be focusing on colonizing and mining the asteroid belt. I for one am glad other countries are bragging about what they're going to accomplish. maybe that'll finally get the US off its butt.
Damn straight. Google got my vote back when I was on dialup because it didn't take several minutes to return loads of graphics, banner ads, and then, finally, my search results.

...about what you can get away with, you should be looking at employers who'll value you for your professional expertise and not how you look. It'll work out better in the long run.
You wrote it? You have the rights to it for X years. Then it goes into the public domain.
It's more like:
You wrote it? You have the rights to it for X years. Then you use that money to pay off the politicians to change the value of X to a much bigger number.
...food situation. Otherwise what ends up happening is one guy brings some bargain chips, another guy brings a 2-liter of Mountain Dew, and you got 8 guys stuck in a room for hours. Not pretty.
Damn straight. I cut down my caffeine intake drastically, and hey presto! No more sledgehammer headaches.
Now I just have to tweak my food intake to eliminate those infrequent heartburn attacks. That's right! I'm going to modify my behaviour, no take a pill to make it all go away!
Yeah, movies based on video games will always have this problem. Having to inflate a pamphlet-sized plot up to two hours while still adhering to logic of the game's universe and gameplay is a challenge your average hack isn't up to.
One of these days, someone will make a decent adaption. I mean, we're finally getting good Marvel Comics movies, and nobody thought that would happen.
You say that gigging barely covers the costs, but every story I've heard about a succesful band almost always contains a variation on the following quote:
"...they built up a a dedicated following through a hard schedule of concerts..."
Unless you're groomed beforehand by the big labels, that seems to be the way to raise your profile and make some sales: hard work.
Oh yeah: THX. Your ears are bleeding.
What the subject line says
It's very refreshing to see a company actually talking about the issue, instead of suing over it.

"Step away from the cheese, bub."
Hey, Michael, guess what? I bought a Dell Dimension for my mother-in-law, and then...I took it out of the US! How d'ya like them apples?
Now that's a good idea. Mozilla, with tabbed browsing, would be the logical choice for this kind of feature.

His idea to be able to remotely destroy or disable somebody's computer is idiotic.
I know I'm flogging a dead horse here, but isn't time we got politicians with a clue?

..they will come. In absolute bloody droves, no less. Kazaa and its ilk are just one big crappy swap meet. Users get what they deserve.

When it comes to Windows, I do a clean re-install once a year, whether it needs it or not.
Who cares? Big Killer Robots!
Get yourself a self-cleaning, wireless, environmentally safe rodent exterminator.
Cats. Taking out the trash since the days of the Pharaohs.
...The problem is that somebody forgets to make a copy and work on that instead of the original?
