    "Use Small Icons" goes a long way toward making it look better. On a Mac the only thing it changed was that silly round back button. On Window I'm waiting for a nice plain theme. The world doesn't need everything to be glossy.

    Silent is a misnomer. Safari opens it's download manager and starts its work. The other option is to do the whole OPEN or SAVE dance...and then open the download manager.

    Our government's track record for doing a good job of spending our money efficiently on us, is very bad. Very very bad. There's plenty of corruption to go around and there's lots of things to fix before I allow them to steward my income.

    Yes- this is why Apple's Time Machine is great, not because it's a nifty backup tool but because it's easier than a two button mouse to use.

    It will be nice when Windows includes a similar tool in every install.

    Sometimes? It's a hard reality but sometimes we're faced with the ethical principle of utility in a world with limited resources. I wouldn't say "roll over and die" though, more like fight hard for life as long as you desire it, using whatever resources are available.


    Sometimes the benefit of one is the detriment of many. Right?

    To be fair that's a $1440 contract for lots of users in the US. The base rate for cell service, minus data for two years is $720 to $960. The iPhone is an entirely different class of service. In fact I'd say that the mobile phone part is just icing.


    Haha- so as long as I'm gonna have a cell phone, it might as well be an iPhone. I'll pick mine up when I get back from Mozambique in February 2009- maybe MWSF will see another update ;)

    If you've ever played Chopper on Mac (used to be freeware) you know it's gonna be rad on iPhone. Simple Arcade Fun- intuitive control.

    Now I just need to get a stinking iPhone.
