Yesterday, I spent most of the day in the girls' dorm changing ink cartridges and doing other shit for attractive, single girls who were very impressed by my showing of even the slightest geek skills. MEPIS is a fully usable LiveCD that does everything it should PLUS it has a good installer.
They should have let Trek die the graceful death it deserved instead of mutilating it into "Enterprise". I don't think there's any hope for this movie, connected to Enterprise or not.
What Nintendo needs to make are shovelware games for the Gamecube or an enhanced N64 at a cheap price so that game like Perfect Dark can be played at a decent framerate.
The internet isn't centrally controlled. Even if it was, we need geeks in control, not another pork-barreling suit fucking things over like the gov't (here in the USA) has done to us over the past 100 years.

If Finland is anything like the USA, you'll see people talking on cell phones bloody everywhere! You'll hear $5 ring tones based on the latest rap on the radio that sounds like shit whether or not it's on a phone. Then whatever asshole has the rap turned up so loud it hurts the ears of the other drivers starts talking to his degenerate friends and nearly runs you off the fucking road three times on the way home. Technology is NOT for the unwashed masses! Tell me, is Finland like the USA in that respect?
