Some of us nerds think evolution is important; I have learned from a female biology nerd that we can reproduce under the right conditions. I highly recommend it not only for the good of the human race, but it's fun too.
Obviously you're not up to date with current P2P. Try the latest version of E-Mule; it either doesn't have the problems you've mentioned, or makes it very simple for the user to discern and avoid the problems.
Dude! How can you call Turok crappy? Sure, the gameplay wasn't all that special or anything, but there's a distinct good feeling that comes out of mowing down tons of enemies and watching them splatter helplessly. Seriously! If I wanted to think about things, I'd quit playing video games and get back to my life and start crying because I just can't deal with it and then remember why I play video games so often in the first place. *sigh*
If you want to read some website that agrees with everything you say so that you can call it a "good guy" website, start your own. That's the only way it'll happen.
Some of those foreigners are pretty suspicious. Take my roommate, for example. He's from Japan and speaks very little English. He hangs out alot with a Jamaican that lives across the hall. He's Japanese, yet he never plays my Gamecube. Not only that, but he's never played DDR! Something is strange here...he's not fitting my stereotype...
OH, but you should care. Pretty soon they'll be tracking your computer to see how much the heat generated by it affects global warming. Okay...that's a bit far-fetched, but I'm sure you get the idea. The more power you let them have, the more they'll try to take. They act like a bunch of drug addicts, high on authority.
...there's been a billion other mods released, including favorites like Red Orchestra and Frag.Ops. Check beyondunreal.com. It's just becuase of the MSU deadline.
Dude...this is Slashdot. You're a dork just for knowing about this place. Not only that, but you've registered, posted many comments, and obtained excellent karma. You too are a dork, just learn to accept it and you will lead a happier life.
I went home recently and decided to fire up the original Unreal on his machine. The LCD is a cheap one and I would have rather played it on a CRT, but I was really surprised that it wasn't all that bad. The game was thoroughly playable and the contrast was excellent.
...expiration violations aside, shouldn't the order be to stop manufacturing them, not to stop selling them? Also, isn't the owner of this (expired) patent responsible for enforcing it instead of Homeland Security just hunting them down?
Get real! Those factors affect every single connection between two computers in the entire world! They MUST have that disclaimer or else non-techie jurors will be awarding oppotunistic internet users money in civil suits all over the place.
Excuse? These aren't mere excuses! They've got a secret deal with 3D Realms because they're porting Duke Nukem: Forever into the source engine and they're gonna be released as a bundle!
How about this? I'm an athiest and a pretty nice guy too. Maybe I'd rather choose how I'll help people with my money becuase I think the government is going to waste it no matter what they say they're going to do with it.
Yeah, and nobody made a joke out of WWII? WWII was a much larger problem than Vietnam, but we ended up with TV shows like Hogan's Heroes and games like BF1942; neither of these seem to take it too seriously yet they were commercial successes.
Dude, after 5 hours of UT I swear I turned around and might've seen a girl walk past the CS lab!

Don't forget the ever-helpful Bonzi-Buddy!
or how about getting drunk enough to think you're hanging out with decent people?

How about man against woman? Oh wait...that's called porn.

apt-get install (gameofyourchoice) instead
...holy shit! The article beat me to it!

Well...if that's already done, I might live to see Deep Space Nine completed!
This isn't an online game.
Kirk could be re-visiting his hometown, or, perhaps he's telling the story about his early life as an old man much as Indiana Jones.
Lucas made them remove "Star Wars" from their name wayyyy back when before a decent(fun) version of the mod was even out.

Super top emission? Sounds great. Maybe NVidia will add super-duper-mega-fast graphics technology to their next video cards.
