    ...my users would force me to :-).

    Even if personally not ready (both because of cost and technical reasons) to run OS X on servers, I would have to provide support for easy Window-type Unix system

    In fact we already considered Linux migration but stopped because of time needed to learn all windows intricacies and application compatibility problems (just three: SwissPDBViewer, BioEdit and MS Office).

    It would definitely make the life of a terrorist easier. Unfortunately most small and portable military technologies did, didn't they?

    Except for nuclear (so far), but this one is easily detected by radiation.

    I'm not against super-fuel-cells, but don't want to be cooked :-).

    I agree with the previous post.
    Now only way to go is to choose supported distro or buy support.
    The future is in Debian-based, but corporate-supported distros. It is cheaper for support-provider (than rolling your own) and provides richer experience.

    I do not really believe in neural networks as they are.

    By now an "artificial neural network" is to brain, as "hello world" program to an application development platform with os included.

    And when you reach proper level of complexity they just become harder to build and understand (not that we always known how they REALLY work).

    So please: keep with tools that we can still understand - they are EASIER TO USE!

    The "marketing name" should be easy to remember and have unique association with the project.
    "Sunbird" is just one rare word.
    Everybody talks about "Sunbird calendar app" anyway, so why to increase the length of name?

    Maybe it would be better to standarize on cryptographic keys and enhance browser so as to automatically encrypt all connections to the chosen site. It acknowledges your identity, you can have different keys for different sites and you can have single password for store of crypto keys.

    Being an engineer doesn't preclude being a good UI designer. It is just orthogonal, so it is less probable to find human that has both skills.
    Of course it doesn't mean all engineers admit they are bad in UI. Many bright people feel it hard to admit their skills are limited ;-).

    As you are bright you can more easily learn how to handle them. So develop them a lot.
    They are the key to success or at least a happy life.

    Would prefer A300 with Bluetooth and Lithium-Polymer batteries. These c7xx come close in features, but look how thick they are! (.9" or 23mm for the bigger model.)
