    Oh how I agree with you. I used to come here for some knowledge and discussion, but now it's all APK, trumpeters and people with lower IQ than a banana.
    I use up all my MOD points on off-topic and troll posts.

    I usually find that the people that say it won't work are the same people that understand the least about the technology and how it all really works at a detailed level.

    Real AI systems will be here a lot faster than people think.

    You forgot the first episode that was a rip off of the Predator Sci-Fi movie, even so far as collecting teeth. And then they kill off one of the only good characters, the old lady that was more willing to do anything to hep and make changes and seemed quite smart, unlike her weak wimpy son..
    But yea, all the stories have a topical political bent.
    I want original good thinking sci-fi...I guess I should send in some of my stories..

    Well maybe it's not VR, but the fact that it's a VR MMO game in Space for hardcore players?
    It's not really a super large player base there to begin with, and most people are probably still playing the old Eve Online, why move over to this?

  17. Humm, so, we should have spend the billions of dollars we put into the Apollo program and space race into feeding the poor and helping people on earth, instead of landing on the Moon?
    By the same analogy we should be putting all our energy and resources into feeding and homing people on earth now?

    You do know that all the technology we have today, from GPS to cell phones to genetic engineering to medicine (with some exceptions) came out of the space programs and investigating how to live in space?

    If your not helping, your just in the way, so take your negative conservative views and get out of the way for the rest of us.

    I have always wondered about this and I'm sure one can make new technology to make a different kind of printing.

    But then I realized that most likely they have Patents up the Gazoo and anything you come up with you will be sued by these guys.

    I hate printers and printer companies for this reason, and don't print unless I absolutely have to.

    Why is is that there are always those people on here that think we don't need anything new or faster?
    Have you never run any development system and think, OMG, why is this taking so long?

    We need way faster CPU's and computers, In fact we need Quantum computers.
    I would love to compile 1.3 million LOC for 10 different platforms in 3 seconds.

    The faster we go, the bigger the systems are they we can build. Try running a Neural Network the size of your brain!
    A NN with 10^11 (one hundred billion) and 10^15 synaptic connects on your computer today...You can't...
    We will need to make ones 10 to 100 times the power..
