It was demonstrated to me time and time again that the purpose of Counter Strike is to run ahead of your team mates and drop a flash bang just before they round a corner where the opposing team is holed up. This is followed closely by knifing team mates in the back while hopping around and lagging behind to see how many of them you can kill with a single AWP round.

Agreed. This is why I was leery to get the 3G version. I had a 3G phone with ATT before, and it was abysmal. Sure the internet access was faster than my previous Palm, but I just could not make phones calls more often than I could. I'd get dropped during the ring phase often. Once I got through, it was just a matter of time (minutes) before I'd get knocked off again.

When I turned off 3G, I had no more problems with calls. So, I'd just swap them back and forth for whatever I was doing at the time. It was very annoying.

So... not sure what is at fault here the phone or the network, but I'd suggest the network unless the iPhone is internally like the HTC tyton just based on my own anecdotal evidence. Personally, I've not noticed many issues with dropped calls on my iPhone, but I use it as a phone far less than most people do I'm sure.

My main annoyance with my iPhone right now is that damn screen not coming back on when I take it away from my face. I've had to restart it to hang up before...

My exposure to women has greatly eclipsed my exposure to other males, and I really don't see the mysteriousness and these great differences in sexuality guys (well, and women themselves) tend to attribute them. The only even remotely consistent difference I've seen is that many males have dominant type fantasies and vice versa in females. And obviously that varies enormously.

You don't think women see some guy walk by and think about how "hot" he is? Or how good he might be in bed? Sometimes I wonder if guys think girls don't think this way to save their egos... If you think they don't, you should hang out with more of them on a friend basis.

I mean, don't vibrators kinda blow away the whole "women can't experience sexual pleasure without amorphous attributes like humor, success, etc" theory? in at least WoW. I have a ton of characters, and more of them are female than male simply because the females are less boring. (I play more alliance than horde.)

Look at the humans... you have a couple really ugly faces... one normal one... and facial hair/color. Woo woo. Most males look alike in WoW just with a different hair style... and not very different at that.

Call me crazy but I like to accessorize... (And if that make me "teh g4y" as people online like to suggest, whatever) Females? They get things like... ear rings... facial tatoos... wildly different hair styles.... horn styles... more than one face that doesn't look like ass... With males it's more of a "hmm... what kind of beard do I want..." type decision.

I'm not going to throw out the old tried and true "If I have to stare at someone's ass for X hours a day" obligatory response.... The males are simply boring... I have two male characters that I actually like lookswise... and they're both Draenai. *shrug*

What's with the stigma attached to it anyway? Women can play male characters but not the other way around? Why does that make any sense? I have in fact had women ask me before "what's up with the female toon" when they were playing a male O.o It's not like I run around hitting on people with a female character. (Well, ok ok... I do really enjoy /flirt'ing with hunters' cats or bears with my feral druid, but come on, cut a guy some slack...)

I will say though that it can be really annoying playing a female character though. I bring all my alts into our guild just to avoid the insane amount of random invites I get from people. Doesn't avoid all the random group invites though. (Don't get me wrong... I'm not an online hermit, but it's really annoying to have an invite pop up out of no where "who and where the fuck is this guy? And what does he want?") It's more than a little sad :-/

Not only that, but Cingular/AT&T are the most incompetent people I've ever talked to about a service being sold. They had no idea about the ISP(DA)@CINGULARGPRS.COM vs the WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM settings. I called back thinking I just got a stupid operator, but the result was the same. You get better information about their services and settings on wiki sites than talking to them directly. And not slightly better either.

If I were Apple, in keeping with the "just works" mentality, I wouldn't have enabled 3G (ideally I'd have put a radio on there but had it disabled by default, but whatever) either. *shrug* The speed bothers the hell out of me, but I still browse the web on my iphone way more than I ever did on my htc (cingular 8525).

That being said, I'd love having 3g capability on the iphone. (Though I would disable it when not using the internet if it used more power; I actually use mine as an ipod as well as a phone)
