If anybody wants to use software that's been written for Windows they will have to continue to use Windows. No matter how nice Mac OS X and Linux are they will not replace Windows as far as people will need to run some specific software that doesn't run well under Wine.
That's pretty much irrelevant to me, I switched back to Opera because of performance issues.
Memory != performance.
For example, when I open a new tab in opera the CPU doesn't register almost any change, when I open a tab in Firefox it goes almost to 100% (that's in Linux, with many extensions added, and BTW, I need those extensions to duplicate Opera's features)
Does begging really work? I mean asking people doesn't usually solve anything, you need to either show them a carrot and/or a stick... not sure if Linux has enough of either (yet)
or... use the GPL code and make those implementation better and then let the evolution follow its course and weed out the bad projects. Who knows maybe another OSS implementation might prove to be better than Sun's.
That might have been true sometime, nowadays all the idiots survive, actually the chances of survival are lower for bad boys: drugs, car/motorcycle accidents, gun violence, pissing off other bad boys, etc.
Well, I don't know if it works exactly as NoScript, but press F12 and de-select "Enable Java", "Enable Plug-ins", "Enable Scripts" according to needs -- that's general setting, for per page setting you can go to "Edit site preferences" from F12 menu and then go to Scripting tab. Hope this helps.
Opera loads old version of GMail and that works fine, if you want the new version you need to navigate to this link: https://mail.google.com/mail/?nocheckbrowser (which also works fine in Opera)
Vista marketing was disastrous (think multiple confusing Vista versions), the only thing that he can be proud is user lock-in: legacy programs run only on Windows, new programs are likely to be released for Windows, sure this is going to change now that Apple has taken off and Linux is finally user-friendly, but Vista didn't lose as much market share as it deserved to lose exactly because of user lock-in.
You know in Ubuntu there's a button called "install software" and you click on it and then you search for "media player" is THAT hard to do?
No it is not dead. Two words "legacy software".

What CPU? Is it Linux? Maybe it's something wrong with my install...

Can't. 0/2 doesn't make sense if 2 = 0 :D
1^2=1; (-1)^2=1; 1^2=(-1)^2; 1=-1; 1=0.
Checking out your sig, doesn't 1 = -1 mean that 2 = 0?

Opera can disable scripts per page or globally, and you don't need a plugin to do that.
Opera loads faster, GUI is more responsive, many people don't care about the license... for them Opera is a better choice.

Let me correct that for you: "Beware of Geeks bearing gifts."
Why can't you just fucking google him
Yes, but 9.5 > 3.0 release numbers don't mean much. Opera 9.5 is just as important release as Firefox 3.0 is.
Opera 9.5 was just released today, however on slashdot we have an article about how Firefox will release on Tuesday... nice...
PLEASE-SPAM?
I expect that too, but that was only an example, there are other extensions that don't work yet.
Who cares about "popular" plugins, the point is that the plugins that _I_ need don't work. For example Google Sync.
Buying stuff to send signal is ridiculous.

... and many people eat more processed food and are fatter.
"For Linux, Agreed. But when is Amarok going to work in Windows or with people's iPods? Oh. Never ??"
Never say never.
