    Article 1, Section 8, Clause 3 clearly grants congress the power to pass CAFTA.

    How the hell else do you think they would regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, pinky swears?

    How is it good for me if my copyrighted material remains copyrighted once I'm dead? And for 70 years at that? That gives it a second lifetime to live on. Insanity.


    Yeah I mean that might cover, I don't know, maybe my children who will live at least 75 years after I die hopefully.

    Except for the fact that solar wouldn't power half the building all the time, and the power plants would have to run anyway because you can't just flip them on and off like a lightswitch when the sun sets.

    This isn't Sim City where so long as your power output is greater than your usage the buildings stay powered.

    I agree. I have actually long held that belief, but unfortunatly such a moderation tag would be abused like a George Bush pinyata at a DNC meeting.

    Mine was a joke, hence the "times zero" which would reduce(or raise in the case of a -1) any post to 0.

    Actually it is not prosecutable. Downloading copyrighted material for which you have no permission to do so is legal. In fact it's not a criminal offence.

    I don't often support the moderation system, but in this case the parent poster must be modded down so is post is invisible, as he is a complete jackass that repeats stuff he hears on slashdot without checking the source material.

    (Hmm technically this post violates copyright, but I argue that it would fall under the fair use exceptions as a parody.)

    Umm... no.

    The person who is copying and distributing is the person commiting copyright infringment. That is why P2P programs get people into trouble. Because downloaders become uploaders and therefore infringe.

    Just downloading and using the material is not prosecutable.
