Tried watching stuff before on my Samsung Galaxy S4, display was horrid. I honestly have no desire to watch a movie on anything smaller than my Kindle Fire's 7" Display. Call me a snob but...
Likely I'll pay the price hike, but if they want to earn money, how about something like this.
Currently (as many know) Shared Amazon Prime Members can only use the 2 day shipping benefits, not the Streaming Instant Video benefits. How about for $40/member/month more, change that? This way I don't have to beg my wife for her last login all the time and can use my account instead. Also perhaps, allowing 2 linked prime accounts who both have instant video access to get to each others separately purchased (non-prime) instant videos? This way I can even get to my wife's video library and watch something of hers if there's something in there I want without needing a second purchase.
Just sayin...
1) Before I leave back home, image laptop, and either post image to online cloud drive or ship DVD's/USB drive back home
2) When I get confirmation everything is backed up or arrived back home, wipe Hard Drive, show customs empty laptop on arrival
3) Re-Image when I get back home.
Sad I'd have to go through all that....
In your case I'd say a no-notice departure is a bit more acceptable (hey if you're leaving anyways). Still if you know you're staying say, longer than 3 months, or your function isn't fully replaceable yet, even a reduced notice may preserve remaining good feeling and get you a decent reference going forward.
At one point their 4G was nice in my area, beat out my Home Internet at one point.
However it seems like the 4G WiMax service is in a state of decline. Can hardly get a 4G Signal at my house anymore, and anywhere else I go in Denver it's non-existent. For high speed I'm pretty much stuck with Wi-Fi. What I'm doing is moving to Boost Mobile, which though a Sprint Subsidiary is cheaper and will offer 4G LTE at the same time as Sprint when the LTE service here in Denver is ready. My rationale is a few things:
1) Boost Mobile is dirt cheap, for the price I'm paying now I'm willing to put up with near non-existent 4G
2) Don't need to worry about the lack of roaming, Sprint's voice/3G network is adequate for my needs, though I find myself somewhat envious of my friends on 4G LTE networks, when I compare phone bills I lose my envy real quick
3) If Sprint/Boost ever gets 4G LTE I'm Contract free and able to make the decision to get a hot new phone at the Sprint subsidy again (or another provider if I really get sick of Sprint/Boost and decide I need an awesome 4G network instead), no penalties involved
Yeah, for someone who "Spent months" planning this, he didn't think that IP Addresses and/or cookies would be logged...or the fact that he got too greedy and had too many students complain would not attract the attention of the engineers to his deed?

Sorry I consider it unethical to deliberately introduce bugs to any software. Not that you need to provide any standard of QA for an open source product, but it's ethical to ensure that whatever you release conforms to a certain "level of fitness" in that it'll do what it is designed.
Furthermore bugs in general reduce my opinion of a product and the company around them, if I see such a shoddy open source product, what's the guarantee a commercial product we'll be any better?

Piracy is getting worse the harder copyright holders try to restrict movement of their stuff. Probably borne out of a "perceived necessity" to do something they'd like to do, such as giving a copy of an E-book to a friend, install a restricted game on another computer, etc. Someone needs to tell the industry to just knock it off and stop making pirates out of everyone...
But I'm not telling the Slashdot crowd anything they didn't already know.
So you've ran off some law enforcement with lethal weaponry...but then, didn't you'd think they'd come back in force? I can almost see them:
Bad Guys: Hurrrr hurr hurr...you shoulda seen them cops runnin...they ain't coming back at us hundreds strong with SWAT Teams or Drone aircraft now....harharhrharrharharhar....

1) An influx of Iphone 5 users saturating what is now a pretty decent network in my opinion, about to do what AT&T did when they got the Iphones in (aka fall flat on their back)
2) I'm a Droid user, and awfully curious as to how well Droid is going to be supported by Sprint down the line...will they still bother to carry Droids, is anything else besides Droid and Sprint even going to be an option (aka Windows Phone 7)?
There are still plenty of smaller PC Makers out there, Falcon Northwest comes to mind immediately. But in the big name PC World, pickings will get rather slim...
Will Tablets and Mobile Stuff replace them? In many respects certainly, but until a Mobile Platform can build and compile their own applications. Frankly who the hell would want to write software on a mobile platform and watch the battery scream as the app is compiled? I do love my dual screens for development (true laptops can do this, but it's much roomier on a desktop).
Laptops still have a few disadvantages over desktops:
1) You just can't cram as much hardware in a laptop. I want 2 high power video cards , 192GB RAM, 2 Network Cards, 8 drives and 4 physical CPU's, sure send the bill to my company:-p no laptop can fit this and still be called a laptop.
2) Even if you could cram some of it, Heat would play hell....there's only so much you can do to cool laptop casing compared to desktop casing, again laptops will never hold as much hardware

By 2020: Apple decides the Itunes store is no longer worth keeping up, stops all sales but keeps DRM servers functional, most customers grow worried...
By 2023: Apple sees no further point in keeping Itunes DRM Store up, but enthusiasts of now classical music singers such as Taylor Swift, Spice Girls and Eminem begin rioting over the loss of all that music...oooooh the humanity...
Considering the fact that the majority of our computers, IDE's and compilers are powered by oil (or another related hydrocarbon product such as gas or coal whose prices are loosely linked), if the software you developed ain't worth the oil it took to write it, what was the point...
I would like to think a company as big and at least somewhat security savvy as PayPal would think to try and cross-check against compromised networks, TOR Proxies, etc...I'd be a little worried if I were one of these people...
