We have had this for a LONG time in Ontario, Canada. I think if it's your 2nd conviction you have to put it in your car(s) at your cost. Also you have to go every month and have the system checked, again at your cost. I've had friends be forced to do this and it's so expensive they just stop driving until they don't have to use it anymore. Makes you think twice about drinking at all when you have to drive. Plus they just lowered the limit here from 0.08 to 0.05 - don't drink and drive!
I'm not surprised. A lot of people seem to fail at basic directions once a computer/technology is involved. Don't know why but it seems the brain goes into OFF mode.
Monoprice had (has?) iPod/iPhone USB cables for 0.69 (USD). I picked up 6 a few weeks ago. (They had a limit of 6 per order). The cheapest I could find them in a store around here was ~ 10 (CND). Even with the shipping buying the six from Mono was cheaper.
I work in downtown Toronto within the security zone for G20. At first we thought they were testing equipment or something but it didn't stop for about 30 seconds. First earthquake I have ever felt. Very odd feeling!
My wife’s job wanted her to use her personal Blackberry for work emails and such. I told her that you always have to keep it separate because:
- what if you leave?
- what if we go over our data? Are they going to pay the overage? can we prove it was because of work stuff?
- what if you accidently send work things to personal contacts and vice versa?
It opens too many issues. If work wants you to have a device for work, they provide and pay for it and you use it ONLY for work. Simple.
I agree with you 100%. The only reason I have an iPod touch is that I won it at work. All I use it for is to play music and a few TWiT podcasts. For my phone I have a Blackberry - love it!
Some of us just REALLY hate ads and don't want to see them at all. Personally I find that because many ads are now flash based (no - I do not want to punch the monkey and give you my cell phone number for a free iPod) they distract me from viewing the content I went to the site for. I’m also the guy that will go online during the commercials on TV to avoid watching them. I might just be the odd one (or it might be ADD), but I don’t surf the web without Ad Block turned on. (Except at work where I have to use MSIE and not allowed to install other software – but the web is locked down pretty good too so it’s mostly tech news sites.)
Worms ref?

You sure made me LOL! Wish I had mod points but I don't so I comment
Wouldn't it be better to BUY when they are low?

Thank you!
"Are the /. editors even literate?"
:)
You really have to ask that at this point?
Wish I had mod points as I agree 100% with everything you said here.
Mafiaboy!
A great book was made about it: http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/books/Mafiaboy-Craig-Silverman/9780670067480-item.html?ref=Search+Books%3A+'mafiaboy'
Got that book for Xmas. Great read and cool story

I'm most suprised that people still use LimeWire!
Caffeine strikes back, turning every result into a "Rickroll" and rendering Google useless.
Same here in Canada. I get typical search results. In fact the top result is a news story about how bad a similar spill would affect Canada's coast.

I find that there actually exists a "popular Windows Mobile game" the most interesting part of this story!
There is a true "close" option: http://www.wikihow.com/Permanently-Delete-a-Facebook-Account
Thank you for the morning LOL!

Typical American with your "Blame Canada" songs and such!
Nothing can go wrong with a robot that knows how to use tools in space :)
After reading the PDF I have two words: Me want!
Sad that people have to be publicly shamed into doing their job - but it does work!
