I have a 2016 Dodge Durango. I love the car, and the nav. system works great as well. The maps in the nav. system are Google and the most recent upgrade is for retail purchase and they want 149.00 for the update which is ridiculous and I won't buy it, which means my nav. system will slowly lose usefulness. Granted I will probably trade in the car within 2 years as my warranty expires, but still it shows that Google isn't missing too many opportunities to monetize anything and everything. I used to use Gmail and many of their other services, but as the company went from 'do no evil' to 'make a buck' at any cost lower than a buck I moved over to other providers for everything including a search engine.

Apply to any business the benefits from broadband internet ? Does that apply to AT&T and Comcast as well as they are entirely dependent on the internet and broadband ?
Working from home is/was harder for me. Too many other distractions, video games, a book, the kid. Not to mention it is difficult to support hardware and build systems remotely. I would end up having to go into work on many occasions because someone in the lab would move a network cable or need to swap a drive, or a fscking power supply would fail even with redundant stuff you can't leave a server up minus 1 power supply because another failure would actually trigger a down machine, or a cluster would fail over and as good as they are someone still has to be there to supervise a FCA switch back. We utilize a lot of satellite/shared office spaces for Customer support engineers these days. You work from the customer site in a cubicle or a neutral site that has a generic office with network access, and a physical address so I can take part deliveries at any time of day or night.
I LOL at your insinuation that it is only the left. The behavior you quite accurately describe is in fact rampant and present in the cultures of both left and right as well as the entrenched corporate world of those that worship the Almighty God : Currency.
If anyone else targets an airport it is an act of terrorism, but with Amazon it is a strategic business decision. It is probably a good thing the Amazon rep. and the $10K/hour consultant they hired to come up with this idea were not discussing it at the actual airport. The TSA would have declared it an emergency situation, locked down the airport, every school in a 30 mile radius, and cancelled every flight in the continental US.
I could edge out the other 2 and make my work connection more stable but my home life would go to shit. I am uncertain which would be better in the long run. I try and work off hours as much as possible and my GF is understanding but asking her and her daughter to give up their share isn't fair either as we split the bills. I'm trying right now to see about getting a dsl line to the house as a dedicated business expense and having both. Normally work is OK its just the video that becomes unreliable, but running a video teleconference and streaming amazon really SUCKS.
I guess I am doomed, we have lousy internet, only one cable carrier available and they won't or can't deliver better than 25 Mbps. We can get a DSL signal but it never gets better than 12-16 Mbps. With me working from the house, the GF watching Amazon and her kid streaming music the net connection is choppy and unreliable. Spectrum cable SUCKS, they advertise starting at 60 Mbps and up to 100 Mbps but no one in the rural area I live in gets better than 25 Mbps.
Did he pass the FST ? The title of the article read he was a drunk driver but no where in the article does it state he was. Did he just decide to take a nap ? Why should Tesla be held to truth in advertising while other car manufacturers can show their cars doing rail slides on bridges and many other behaviors that a car can not accomplish ? Missing far too many basic facts to really render any sort of judgement. The Chronicle should fire whomever wrote this trash and hire a qualified writer/reporter, say your average 5th grader.
Only in an Asian nation would publicly shaming someone work. In a western culture someone would just wave smile and go their merry way. Or even better they would be a corporate 'influencer' and make an extra $ off the exposure. Look at me ! I'm on TV.
What are ADs ? I've not seen one in a long time. I use the DVR and record what I want to watch then just FF through the commercials. I really don't give a rats a$$ what they show in between the 3 or 4 30 second FF's I touch. Typically, excluding live sports I am a day behind in watching TV. Unless it is in show advertisements or product placement I just don't see them.
I've always preferred the old IBM 3270 style KB's.They allowed for more than 3 key combinations which gave a distinct advantage in FPS directional movement. You could jump, move forward and strafe or circle strafe in a left or right direction while also firing or even combo firing. Many newer KB's top out at 3 key combinations designed around the ctrl-alt-delete setup but ignored a fourth or fifth input. I am not sure what KB's out there mimic that behavior or if newer models even do. I have several boxes full of old IBM hardware that I've saved over the years and given the inherent toughness of the mechanical KB's they will last me many years.
I use it all the time, though you are correct I did not ask for it. The smart TV in the great room has the Amazon and Netflix apps loaded. On the other hand I just plug my lap top into the HDMI port on the dumb screen in my den and it works the same way so I get my Amazon and Netflix via the in-house network without have to run too many cables into the wall, or needing a separate unit. My house is Yuma is on a slab and has no attic.
Delivery of Public Services over the internet would be hard to sell if not everyone has the possibility of internet access. Whether the cost cut of being able to do away with certain 'analogue' services in favor of going wholly electronic is of course entirely debatable and YMMV. In the US the profit motive is first and foremost, but Canadas' more socialistic approach to certain things might override the cost vs. profit argument. The US forces the telco to extend phone line or cell towers into some very rural areas, and charges everyone else for that service.
Samsung has an app called SmartView that runs on Android, Windows, and iOS and pipes the contents of that device directly to a Samsung TV. I use it occasionally and it works fine for YouTube and such but I've not tried it with a video game or anything that complex. Of course you have to have a Samsung TV...
So I guess a call to violence isn't attempting to incite violence ? I wonder whether your ignorance is on purpose or you're trolling ? My 'lying; about it, I guess we are back to 'hate' speech as things YOU hate to hear...
Yeah you are possibly right, it just seems like colleges today that used to be the bastions of the civil rights and free speech seem to be the center of the protect me from opinions I don't want to hear movement. Not all of the 'younger' generation are that way just a great many, and I should not generalize too much it makes me as bad as those I'm criticizing...
Amendment I Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. Hate speech is not something you just hate to hear.
Unless it is a call to violence or an attempt to incite a riot, people are allowed to express their opinions, no matter how YOU hate it.
Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and most stink. While disagree with the Nazi sympathizers and racists, as well as religious nut jobs like the Westboro Baptist church. They've every right to express their opinion just as you and the rising echo chamber of millennial infants who would prefer to stick your finger in your ears and shout I AM NOT LISTENING TO YOU NAH NAH NAH.
Just use the webmail version and don't touch outlook express or the windows 10 mail tool. I agree they both stink to high heaven. I supported the enterprise exchange email system for a couple of years and even with enterprise level ability to modify the end user client exchange was a stinky pile of feces as well.
This bill allows the FCC, to use resources from the FTC which can levee greater fines and has authority over the stocks and the exchanges on which they are traded, as well as the ability to call on DHS and DOJ which have personnel to kick in doors and investigators to follow up get warrants and seize equipment. In addition to extending the time in which infractions can be enforced as well as a much higher ceiling on the fines they can levee. Of course it still has to pass through Congress and as you say be enforced but at least the tools are being provided if the proper authorities have the backbone to use them.

Dang... I missed that thanks for pointing that out. In such a hurry to make a bad joke I misspelled a very basic word.
