I've got a friend who works for Mitchel1, who has been assisting me in that kind of endeavor for quite a while now. Aftermarket modified chips that allow for some impressive performance upgrades for weekend racers. The only caveat is they won't come close to passing certification and have to be swapped out for smog testing and such. I'd love to find a group capable of creating a board that could hold multiple chips and allow for dynamic switching.
I can honestly say that Bluetooth is a mystery to me. I see what you are saying about blocking the transfer at the router level but what about prior to that point ? I have a dual band router from TWC, aka Spectrum, and I've kind of been wondering if things might be connecting to the outward facing network that I have no access to or control over, like IoT devices that might have a corporate deal from the get go with password or access deal worked out at the manufacturer level.
This may be the time when open source swoops in and saves the day by creating tools which will interfere and ignore certain intrusive 'standards' foisted upon the unsuspecting general public. I wonder if a device can be engineered to broadcast an interfering signal along the Bluetooth band and just kill the ability to function.
Not to be pissy or anything but let's face it. By the time a human rights violation has case has 'come to trial' it is nearly a forgone conclusion. Were 10K people massacred ? Was an entire countryside gassed ? Did the members of an entire tribe suddenly disappear ? Was a mushroom cloud, and nerve gas involved ? It doesn't take much of an AI or computer to come to a conclusion in those kinds of cases.
I might also point out that most of the non good content, e.g the bottom of the barrel IMDB movies were in fact produced by those same media giants that are so busy trying litigate their right to profit and force their completion out of business that they can't actually produce any decent content.
I find that after a couple of hours at a task I welcome a break whether it be to grab a cup of hot chocolate, I don't drink coffee, chat with a colleague, answer the phone or check the email's, or glance at Amazon, or https://soylentnews.org/ , or even this place.
Whiney Bill Bellicheat is having trouble receiving a WIFI signal from both the legal league feed and the illegal installed cameras and mics in the visiting teams locker room. Get over it. First it was a sport, then it was a business, now it is a joke.
I chose my words poorly. I wasn't implying that bashing the government(s) was hypocritical, but rather that the governments themselves were hypocritical. Here in the land of Freedom, we are routinely required to give up our freedoms so that we can stay the land of the free, and the home of the brave. Speaking of losing battles, I just got my ballot today for the national election and I am considering which losing candidate to vote for. I won't vote Hillary or Trump, and though I am registered Green party I am not sure I like them any better, any last words of advice ?
Nice to hear that despite popular opinion the NSA/CIA were never alone in what they've been doing since WW2. There was a LOT of mud slinging at the US as info regarding what our 'secret police' have been doing in our name became available but as we all really understood, it was never just the US, every country has been practicing violating human rights and its' on internal laws in the name of security for a long, long time. While this doesn't make any of it better at least we can do away with the USA bashing and get back to just generic hypocritical government bashing.
I still see a niche value for twitter in mobile industry and such. It is a perfect platform for say mobile food trucks, and the ice cream man. If they would open source the client and ease up on the censoring it could become a successful messaging client. There is some small value to be had for the platform but nothing like the brazillions people keep expecting.
For the last week I've been getting NAG popups on Slashdot relating to improperly named and/or dated cert's from ADS served up. The related name is optim something or other and was generally date related. I finally turned on AD blocking to stop the recursive, very intrusive pop-ups. If this continues I'll just leave the AD blocker up and to hell with supporting/. The quality of ads has taken a severe downturn here and the continued auto play ads are really beginning to annoy. As much better as the place was getting under the 'new' management it seems to lost ground again recently. Just as a side note doesn't logging in posting, moderating and meta-moderating on a regular basis make me a fan of Slashdot ? Why the hell would ANYONE want to follow this crap on Facebook ?
I really like OnStar, the directions are good, updates are not my issue and to boot I don't even need to know where I am to start with. Needless to say my innate sense of direction is poor. I am not sure what is wrong with me but I have always had a very poor sense of direction. I get involved in something and the next thing I know I am lost, again.
I think they should estimate all the profits they made on the violation, and THEN levy a fine on top of that. There is no way a company should profit from criminal actions. If that happened and the company actually LOST money, the stockholders would take care of the CxO's/boardmembers in a fashion that would really be a punishment to them, via the pocketbook. It would lead to a tying of bonuses and golden parachutes to actual company performance.
LOL, I see if the discussion evolves into something you don't agree with there can be no point in further communication. A very adult option. My point was and always has been that I couldn't continue to perform the same functions on the new and 'superior' iPhone7 but you just take your toys and stomp off to your room. Macs4all or you throw yourself on the floor and have a temper tantrum ?? Officially I didn't feel any meaningful communication between the 2 of us in the first place. You do not communicate you shout into a canyon and listen to the echo of your own voice, hearing that as valid communication and confirmation that you are indeed the only opinion that exists or matters.
Sarcasm I can take, and I like a debate with an intelligent proponent. It is good to have your opinions challenged otherwise you grow old and cranky. One is bad enough but unstoppable, the other just sucks. Cheers mate:)
No actually I didn't drag multi-media into the argument, cRapple did. By positioning itself as the camera, movie watching, music listening end all be all darling of 'all cool' people everywhere. All I want is to be able to do what I could on the 'inferior' previous version of the device without having to spend more and get other equipment to do what I used to do natively. That is talk on the phone and listen to music, while keeping my device charged fully. Also to watch a movie that I might have downloaded from iTunes previously...
Phones are pretty thin, there is always room for improvement but I personally would value a cool clamshell option that allowed for as much screen space or more without increasing the oversize MORE than I would losing another mm in thickness of a very thin device to begin with.
The main character Johnny Rico was part Filipino in the original book.

Sorry but I can't help but ask, did you get your own stapler Wilton ?

"Oh, so you're a fag."
No I don't smoke cigarettes either.
They might find that during said time the Parisian Frenchman will have written several copies of his letter of resignation as well.
note extreme use of sarcasm

I thought the US was by far the fattest place on the planet, damn I am sorry.

If you hang out too long on the glow in the dark bike path you can get the abortion that is denied you under any form of Polish law.
It tastes like steak to me...
