that helps when it breaks on Friday at 3:00 pm and the vendor wants $5.00 and 6-8 weeks to get a replacement copy to me. I make 'copy' of ALL CD material I get and store the originals in a nice dark safe place. Of course I've been accused of being anal....When the vendor will allow me to D/L the code using my broadband connect, since I am one of the 10% of the US citizens to have one then maybe this might fly. A VALID example is a LAN party trip..NEVER take your original CD's, some Luser will spill something on it or step on it.

Excel is the killer app and I've still NEVER seen a decent substitute for a complex multi-sheeted calculation rich spread sheet. I have OO, and Star Office loaded as well but neither does the job. As for a word pro I could use notepad, or heck even VI when you get right down to it. Props to them for exploring alternatives, WP suite 7.0 was quite nice but why make life harder and sacrifice that 'synergy' that Word and Excel have by replacing just one half the tool-set. Given my druthers I'd use OO and screw the Visio/Excel issues but work requires that I use such documents.

Linux is anti-establishment all the way. What do you expect ? As RH strives for recognition in the business world as a legitimate OS and support company it is ONLY NATURAL for them to become part of the establishment. I can only say, judge RH by their actions NOT BY SOME reporters questionable articles. RH has consistently adhered to the GPL and given back to the OSS community. Funny but this was bound to happen. Imagine the backlash if large corps start actually using it and Linux become THE business OS. Where will all the Linux Zealots go then. They can't run and praise the same OS the corporate world is busy raping everyone with, that would be 'BAD' :)
