Raspberry PI uses a package-on-package technology (RAM chip on top on the CPU).
They covered this on their forum: - There are no 1Gb SDRAM chips with that size available; - The 512Mb ones are too expensive - if Raspberry PI rev.A (128Mb) and rev.B (256Mb) are a success, they will consider a more expensive rev.C with more options.
Well... the Broadcom BCM2835 SoC in Raspberry PI can directly control an LCD (all required pins available on a header on board) and you can also interface with a touchscreen:
MediaMarkt sales people (EU electronics store chain) were instructed to sell "Samsung iPads" to the clueless customers. When my non-technie cousin tried to buy a iPad the sales guy told him: "Get the Samsung iPad - it's better, it has flash". The fact that the Galaxy looks a lot like the iPad to the untrained eye, helps a lot with this scam.
If you know of any recent technology improvements made to fiberglass, please share them with us. And remember, this is the cheap fiberglass+epoxy we are talking about, not carbon fiber or other stronger materials.
Fiberglass cases ? Double-punishment if you drop your "Ultrabook": - Fiberglass breaks easily; - If will spread a fine cloud of fiberglass shards after the impact - breathe those and your lungs are fubar.
We want the schematics for the "hacker cable". The schematic from the link in the TFA, ( http://www.ionetworks.com.au/files/serial_port.pdf ) using pins 12 & 13 of the dock connector is for a "accessory connection" cable and can be used from a jailbroken iPhone with/dev/tty.iap but the bootloader won't send anything on those pins at startup.
1) Download the latest 64-Bit DMG Archive (Apple Disk Image) from MySQL Site (http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/). Current latest version is 5.5.14 which I’ll be using to install on my machine. 2) Mount the Disk Image (I mean open/double-click the DMG file) and install MySQL server by double-clicking the PKG file (in my case mysql-5.5.14-osx10.6-x86_64.pkg) and follow onscreen instructions. ( It will ask for Master password, as it installs MySQL server in/usr/local ) 3) Add/usr/local/mysql/bin to your path by editing.profile file. (Optionally you can create alias to mysql and mysqladmin as mentioned in README File) 4) You can start MySQL server by running “/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysqld_safe &” from terminal but Disk image you downloaded also consists of Startup Package & Preferences Pane which allows you to start/stop MySQL server from System Preferences and even Automatically Start MySQL Server at Startup.
At least ZX81 & Spectrum had a fixed address for VideoRAM. With O2's UMA you could play a movie by just filling up the RAM with the uncmpressed mofie frames and moving the start address of the framebuffer at each vertical refresh. AFAIK, you could do the same on the Amiga (in ChipRAM) but there you were able to change the address and the resolution mid-frame - i have seen screens where the top part was high-res low-color and the bottom part low-res high-color.
The Apple cannot do this - they have too much to lose. All the "creatives" who use macs are their greatest evangelists and if Apple takes their "toys" away, they will turn to foes. There won't be a single Apple device appearing casually in movies & TV shows as the angry Final Cut editors will airbrush them out.
Unfortunatelly it's something darker. I don't dare to put the message here in plain text for all search engines to find so here's a ROT13 version of the decoded message:

So you can use the Raspberry Pi to build a whitebox Tablet PC.
I think i'll wait a bit (end of November) for the 2011 version :)

It was a mechanical failure:

Seems that the pilot had the option to eject but he stayed and tried to handle the plane out of the crowd.

Not recently (i.e. the last 15 years).

It's just ichor from the punctured gelsacs.
Just remember: The words of K'brell, speaker for the Council of Elders, are always true.
It's just an announcement from K'Breel, Speaker for the Council of Elders.
He's Black (half);
He's Gay;
He's from America.
Come on ... :-) We all got trolled big time :-)
What's next - his theme song will be about how he will never going to give us up ? :-)

... and congratulated AMD for redescovering sgi's O2 Unified memory Architecture..
PS: IBM PC jr. (1984) & Commodore Amiga (1985) were actually the 1st one to use UMA. Could this mean we will have "Chip RAM" & "Fast RAM" again ? :)

Vita - which is a Romanian derogatory term for "cow / bovine" :-)

What's this "Ediiting" (with double-i) mentioned in the title ?
That color is copyrighted by Microsoft for their devices.
Why does the Smithsonian wants to add one of the worst movies ever to their collection ? ;-)
