Anyone can tell cops (infact one cop doing half of his time) to block site. Then that one cop decides if that site belongs to sencored list. Because list is secret there is no oversight right now. And rumour says that list goes from police to ISPs by email and excel file... top zekret, I say!
Being a windows user another thing i can't stand is the stupid Apple Updater. No matter how you tell the program you don't want the f&**(@ installed it tries to update itself any chance it gets even if you just watch a quicktime.
Hear! Hear! And that damn process can't be killed. And it takes all cpu time it can get. Almost cooked my balls with laptop!
...this unclear situation would possibly stop others, from deploying similar services in sweden for the next two years...
Sounds like anticompetetive behavior. I'm smelling complaint to EU. Someone is left with bad taste in his mouth from this. And TPB isn't feeling guilty at all.:P
I somehow think that TPB is Windows (tm) of torrent sites. Kill the competition and it will become even stronger.
E-mail killed telegram and nobody gives a damn. Times change and some business cant cope with that. People tend to care (too much IMHO) only about their own bank balance and because of that are not ready to pay whatever seller asks. People who get paid making something copyrightable are now in situation like a worker asking higher and higher pay doing same job. Not only aren't they getting higher pay but they are getting fired too.
And it's not like Apple (or any company, but I'll use Apple or I'm going completely offtopic) have some natural right to their copyrigts and patents. We dont owe Apple anything and as long as we don't _steal_ anything, it's our natural right to copy things... why Apple should scream bloody murder, when they still have all their software, is beyond me (not).
In my opinion company's goal is what owners/founders set it to be. It's the US of A way to simplify everything to money. I hope to see more businesses and companies where profit is a mean to a goal, not a goal in itself.
According to TFA fongerpointing has already begun: "Gehry rejected Skanska's formal request to create a design that included soft joints and a drainage system in the amphitheater, and "we were told to proceed with the original design."":)
I think most of the guns are at least somewhat hidden. Because of that most Finns think that guns are pretty rare in Finland even though according to statistics there seems to be quite many guns. I don't think guns are hidden, its just that they must be stored in locked place and in many occasions that means some sort of safe or locker. And safe's door tends to get in line of sight;)
"But in response we have done unto ourselves far worse things than they could have ever hoped to have accomplished. Massively stupid."
And terrorists can congratulate themselves for a job well done. They tried to create terror, hence the name, and they succeeded.
Jeah, hes swede like Pamela Anderson is finn.
Pamela's grandfathers father was called Hermanni Hyytiäinen, and later changed his name to Anderson when moved from Saarijärvi in 1908. His wife's father was Heikki Keski-Salmi, later Henry Solmie, who was from Kuortane.
So don't push it on random hardware. Push it to known. Or are you saying that Dell and others don't know what hardware they have? Shift responsibility and blame to other computer makers, make os commodity and apple experience (Just Works) that something that people are willing to pay.
Actually I'd gladly support increasing the Russian royalty rate and massively increasing the US royalty rate to match, if we also eliminated a few defect-by-design nonsense tacked onto the US law (such as the arbitrary prohibition against sending more than three songs from the same artist or more than two songs on the same album in a single hour).
You seem to know what you are talking about, so quick question: If radio sends a full concert and said concert includes just one band and all songs are from one album, is that illegal?
Who cares about hard drives, when you can outsource them?
According to lapsiporno.info some ISPs are now using proxies to block sites on the list.

You LUIBs (Low UID Bastards) clearly have mailing list or somesuch where you can call for "someone with 1500 or lower" to comment...
I read your comment "..in my dreams, i was a Jedi, a real pornstar, an animal in bed!" and thought it quite fitting to slashdot...
Good luck not hitting thigh artery or any vital parts in torso. Or hitting at all. I would like to be tasered any day instead of being shot.
Cops should use taser only when they would also use gun.

Ah, thats why my boss slaps me in the head when I'm slacking off.
Until one gets married... Oh didn't spot that self-respectin part ;)

Wouldn't it be nice if getting a patent would need at least a working implementation? It seems one can get patent just by filing patent application.
And iPhone's plan works also in other phones... just swap SIM-card.
Linus is soooo mainstream, that his geekcard has been revoked. I nominate Jarkko Oikarinen for the position of most famous finnish geek.
I'll bet that most college girls will disagree with you!
