Well, this is gonna be another "me too". Yeah, why not use java.util.prefs.Base64.java instead of "stealing" gpl-code?? And how the hell is one supposed to know if anyone stole some java-code, when bytecoded, different implementations looks pretty much the same anyway....I have seen "different" implementations of encode/decoding (crypto)that is almost the same... first I thought that some stole frome the others, but thinking and tinkering about whith the code, I found that the bytecode becomes VERY similar even when the source look different(yeah, the code did the same thing in the end)(used obfuscators).
I loved my pb100!! Yes that thing I LOVED!! But I really wanted the sinclair ones, a friend had the z-81...Do you guys remember the "flight" simulator for the those?? amazing stuff......I was jelous until I got my hands on a second-handed(disapeared from a big company when they upgraded...heh..)commendore PET 200(you could (I did) peek under the PET-sticker and find out it was an commodore 8032), now days I dont even know the hardware I am typing this at (yeah it says Dell inspiron 8200..but I dont know whats inside..nor do I care..;( ). It doesnt seem to matter how 'fast' machine I have, I still spend my time waiting on some processing to be done, e.g now I am waiting for nokia devel suite(j2me) to get to the point where shit 'appens (prob some DataInputStream related) and see what the verbose output will say, have been waiting for hours, veeerryyy slow action there.. My point beeing, well likely spend our time waiting in the future as well...maybe its a good thing..dont feel so bad when I am drinking coffie and kick back..:) By the way...Merry christmas!
I have been following jboss since when jboss.org was on w2000 and I can't say I am surprised.
I am developing j2ee stuff and am only using jonas nowdays, I will not send any money to jboss inc(Sorry to say, I did that once in the beginning..), I will not help them in their quest of getting filthy rich on the expense of naive developers (and users). I have learned that recognize destructive ppl, they always tend to be VERY aggressive towards ppl that critizise them, and usually they have a strange relationship towards truth. As I said, keep an eye on aggressive ppl, they are aggressive for a reason...
Why does not MS buy google and only give limited service to non IE-browsers and also, only rate(good that is) IIS served pages. Not in an official way(duh), inofficial and just so ppl would say, "IIS pages gets rated better, we need to use it in our organisation", yeah...and the information control, HOT DAMN! There is not, nor ought there be anything but Gates-software controlled information...O..sweet lord, the possibilities..like the way one can control (through selective 'information') ppl, just like when convince THEM(mindless idiots) that Irak had anything to do with 9/11, dont even have to say it, just make ppl belive it..PPL ARE SO EASY!!
AND, THIS IS THE BRILLIANT PART, WHEN PPL START TO WIND ABOUT IT, CALL THEM CONSPIRATORS./You may think my hat is funny
Bobby Fisher? Well, I bet my gnuchess would beat him;)
Seriously, I am sad to see that he has been...eh...offline so to speak(mentally)...
I read some transcripts of radio interviews and I feel he need some friends to get him straighten up.
He has some 'issues' and interprets things in a bizarre way. I dont know, but he seemed to be an intelligent young guy, then something went wrong...what?? I know that we all make choices, but here I feel that something pushed him...I dunno...

Color code?? Why _color_ coding? what does that mean?? Will there be some actually coloring involved??
What kind of kindergarten-teachers are running that company?? Why not use characters, e.g "l-o-w" and "h-i-g-h" etc to describe the levels??
Or is it that they want to hide it? Will it be printed on something visible to the passengers?? The boarding card? The only reason for mapping I can see, is that they want to hide the information to the passangers, - a mapping to hide the security level? Hmmm... I got a red dot, and that white old fart got a green one..
I once made an 'IQ' test where the objects differed in color...and guess what, I came out looking like an idiot(no comments please..). Maybe the idiot who made the 'IQ'-test wasn't aware of the fact that there exists 'color-blind' people?? HELLO!! Even if he wasn't aware of the fact(some ppl are just ignorant), he (with his mensa-qualified IQ) should have been able to do some basic research before classifying people. What a fine example of a oxymoron(or just a moron). But I digress, back to the color-coding scheme...
Unless they really need some kind of mapping (they want to hide their opinion of their customer) , they could use numbers: (ok, I'll give some examples for that too...) '0' (a one end of the scale) and '3' (for the other end..). Now, how hard is that??
Works on my mozilla(Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030626)...then, I have the following plugins:
Java(TM) Plug-in 1.4.2-b28(libjavaplugin_oji.so)
Shockwave Flash(libflashplayer.so)(It's a flash demo!)
mplayerplug-in v0.80 handles QuickTime Windows Media Player Plugin(mplayerplug-in.so)
Default(libnullplugin.so)
Plugger 4.0(plugger.so)
As long as U have Java and flash U should be ok. ?
That was my 1:st thought!! Listen, any 12 year old girl who says 'I am sorry for what I have done. I love music and don't want to hurt the artists I love', either is told by the riaa what to say, or doesnt exist...'don't want to hurt the artists I love'. yeah right. Poor Britney...

Well, some days ago, theserverside.com had their frontpage written in.net (borland tools) and talking to the J2EE backend, it almost worked....well it worked mostly...
Whats interesting is that it was done in the first place!!?? What the java community needs is a REAL java news site, pref located under the apache umbrella!!
As it happens, a friend of mine is working for a company that are in this field....they successfully implemented eye tracking, (dont tell me, there are lots of companies doing this, but not as well as these guys..). We discussed it the other day, and he told me that the face-recognitions algoritms are coming along..there is some huge stastically problems involved in this, the equipment is not the problem (they are using ordinary webcams) and some special light(ir-freq)...pretty cool stuff. Now, the ethical problems with this are MUCH more difficult.

Unfortunately, there is ample evidence that for many years economic, marketing, and even anticompetitive goals were far more important considerations than security for Microsoft s software developers, and these broader objectives were often achieved at the cost of adequate security. Duh...
Ok. Since everybody can see that SCO are fraudsters, can *please* someone take them to court? PLEASE!!
As raindog2 pointed out its old stuff(-79) and not SCO property. They must have known that. Just take the code and use google. Again, there is no way they didn't know that! Take em to court!
Good stuff!! Seems to be working under wine as well, have to verify this..later...gotta go out. Cheers.
Ehh...I wish I could remove my last post..the S55 isn't a 3G mobile...;/
Well... isn't that dandy!
Any Haxxor with a cheap mobile (e.g S55) and a SSH-client ( mobish.com and others) can now conveniently hack our web-sites!!
Whats next? Paper-mobiles preinstalled with nmap and satan?
I would like a computer to play the FRC way or some varian of that. THAT would be interesting.
