Actually, I am quite interested about what exactly "they" want to censor.
If fundamentalists/hicks/tories/rightwingers are against it, there is a high probability it's interesting material.
Considering that they fume over almost everything that has to do with evolutionary theory, i'd say they are pretty aware that whatever contradicts creationist belief is perceived a real threat to undermining their beliefs on the matter.
Well, that's a very specific problem. (...are you perhaps a freelancing developer there ?)
Anyway. If you insist; such sourcecode could still contain comments that deal with technical issues that are not documented in the functional/technical specs of the unit/app/system in question.
eg. you would comment "Allocate byte extra for these strings, need backward compatibility with ExoticPlatform zero point fossilized" but not comment with pseudocode, that would be in your documentation. (If your docs are done allright, you are able to recreate the whole shebang from scratch based on the docs.)
If you have to maintain or bugfix, docs + technical comments in the code have to suffice as complete documentation, for you or any dev on your team.
I still don't think it is a good idea to not comment your code, though. You really should have your superiors deal with the internal politics, and not have to care about internal political crap like that. (Unless, you are an external developer and you want lock-in with the client company. But I advise against that, even.)
I would fire someone with such an attitude as soon as possible.
Not that i would personally dislike you, but i can't have people playing the "information-is-power" game in my team. In the end it harms the team and the client/company more than it benefits you personally.
Vector: A list that dynamically grows by a predefined size when you keep adding stuff to it. Much like an array. Allocating extra memory is managed without you having to specifically code it. (In a mathematical context, it's something entirely different though.)
Matrix: A twodimensional array of numbers, with a predefined size, eg. a 3*4 matrix has 12 numbers in it. (Calculations with matrices form a particular field of mathematics; mostly used for efficiently solving sets of equations, and bugging the hell out of mathematically challenged students.)

Great ! Imagine all the things we can do with that much horsepower ! Now we can *really* write bloated code ! Anybody want a Java VM coded in VBA inside a MSWord document ? (Running in Wine.)
It's relative speed to us (eg. the sun, or any other mass). In the void of space this has no consequences for the mass that is speeding. (Until it collides with something that has a different speed.)
Abruptly increasing acceleration could rip it apart though, but that's another story.
Dropping the Steam requirement is not a good idea, imo. I agree that for the singleplayer games you should not have to be online. As protection against software piracy, Steam is only an extra hurdle that may have delayed cracking the game for a few hours, or days, max. For legit players it can be a hassle. (eg. dial-up.) So if you play HL2 at home or you run CS:S on your private LAN, you shouldn't have to use Steam, at all.
But the reason I don't want Valve to get rid of Steam is this : If you need a steamID to play online, and they can ban your account for cheating, it means Valve has a shot at creating a gaming environment with less cheating. This is a HUGE problem now with their games.
Agreed, I'm still waiting for them to release the VAC2 anti-cheat system. But if Valve has to drop steam as a requirement for online play, this will open the floodgates for cheaters to ruin all of Valve's online gaming platforms. (CS is damn near unplayable because of aimbotting, wallhacking, and whatnot.)
Of course, if they do a half-assed job with this VAC2 system, they might as well get bent. In the meantime it would be wise to wait what they are going to pull out of their hat regarding the cheating issues.
Maybe it has something to do with the rings casting shadows over the equatorial parts, so the atmosphere has an unusual temperature distribution, causing the winds to migrate in the opposite sense compared to what we would expect. (Cooling down at the equator and blowing down, warming up at the pole, expanding and rising up.)

You can :
If you let steam remember your username & password, you can play offline next time you start steam.
Imagine the world being all round, we'd all fall off!
I have a "rollerskating theorem" somewhere that proves this.
(Of course, first I have to prove that poor old Newton had it all backwards.)

You could also comment in some incomprehensible language like Finnish, or morse code, or ebonics.

Why aren't you torn apart?
Lions only eat Christians ?
Well, you throw 'em into near-orbit around a black hole, so they get slingshot out of the galaxy.

In your example, succes or failure of this method would be irrelevant, though... Any outcome would be acceptable
