Bzzzt. Football is not standardised be the FA. The rules of football are decided by the International Football Association Board, consisting of four FIFA members, plus one each of the English, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish Associations.

Actually, it's often refered to as Soccer in Ireland as well, to avoid confusion with Gaelic Football. Although the Irish governing body is the FAI, rather than SAI.
Rubbish. All GSM phones will accept 112 without a SIM or connection to the home network. In the UK SOME phones also repond to 999 (or even 911 - as an aside, 911 actually works in the UK). Nokia phones will even work when locked.
"The free television that we've all enjoyed for so many years is based on us watching these commercials," said Jamie C. Kellner, chief executive of Turner Broadcasting. "There's no Santa Claus. If you don't watch the commercials, someone's going to have to pay for television and it's going to be you."
Good. I want this. I'd gladly pay for the channels I watch. Then I'd only get the 10-15 channels I actually want, rather than the 100 or so I have to pay for to get the ones I want. The Beeb sustains 6 channels and umpteen radio stations on $9/month license fee. I'd gladly pay another £2-3/month for each channel I actually want, rather than the £35/month I pay now for what is mainly crap.
Not only are they a problem, they are breaking the law. You can have them charged. Which is why the only one to call me after I got put on TPS over a year ago put the phone down pretty damn quick when I told him.
Saw this linked to in an article about the merger on The Register. Quite an interesting point of view, basically asking if companies which only look at share price are actually that successful in the long run.
Actually, not strictly true about PG. From the bbfc site:
PG
General viewing, but some scenes may be unsuitable for some children
'PG' Parental Guidance
Unaccompanied children of any age may watch. A 'PG' film should not disturb a child aged around eight or older. However, parents are advised to consider whether the content may upset younger or more sensitive children.
The fact they were knowingly selling into the US? Why does the EU have the right to impose restrictions on Microsoft?
Not that I think this case is right, but if you actively sell something into a state (nation or otherwise), you have to accept anything relating to the sale to be governed by its rules.
There are sufficient pro-Islamist elements in Pakistan, including people still inside the government, to provide another motive for the US government wanting Pearl.
So pro-Islamist is what, exactly? Terrorist? Anti-America? Or just supporting the Islamic religion?
"Some only find crappy 128k music and won't let you limit your seaches to better quality stuff. Some is too hard for an average guy to use. Some are just too obscure with too few users. Some never provide stable connections when you try to make a transfer."
If your interested the stupid 128kbps limit that was introduced in newer versions of Morpheus can be removed by changing the following registry key from "1" to "0":
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Morpheus\LimitBitrate
God knows why this was introduced. You'll find higher bitrate files are less widespread as people can't download them by default - they can share them though, so there are still quite a few out there.
The irony being, of course, that despite the fact that it is based in a fictional US city, GTA3 was developed in Leith, just outside Edinburgh, Scotland. Where we drive on the correct side of the road, like the Aussies.
Try taking away all telephones and telephony equipment. That leaves communication where exactly? And the internet? How would you get access to it? Would it even exist if telephony had never been invented?
You can in Germany - a relatively recent test case set a precedent that prevents MS from enforcing this. This is one of those nasty EULA things that no-one really knows the scope of until they are tested in court.

LOL :-)
An imposrtant part of "journalism" is "editorial". It's pretty obvious this is not meant to be an objective piece.
Of course that's £9/month, not $9/month...

We're talking about Sony,,,
Wow. Sony pulling in two directions. Who would have thunk it?

As it turns out, Agilent sold the PC and Printer business, along with the name HP, to Compaq.

If you don't have a TV you don't have to pay for it. It's a license. Have a look at http://www.tv-l.co.uk/
I don't know what's funnier - the fact that you completely missed the sarcasm, or that you got modded +4 "Insightful".
Not to mention that they don't know the difference between England and the UK. God that annoys me.
Certainly in the UK, pure Nitrogen canisters are very unusual in pubs. I've always seen 60/40 or 70/30 (Nitrogen to C02) used in Guinness, AFAIR.

I knew it was invented by a Scotsman. :-)
