Actually I think Bin Laden is irrelevant at this point. Most people know that the various terrorist organizations in the Middle East will exist with or without him. Someone's support for war at this point is unlikely to be affected by the presence of Bin Laden. In fact, I sometimes forget he even exists.

I'd say their only customers are those with existing SCO systems that have not been upgraded yet. It can be easier to just buy another SCO license than to migrate the entire thing. I'm sure nobody is actually doing all-new SCO installations anymore. Anyone with a current SCO system should definitely have a migration plan, because they will be stuck with an unsupported OS when SCO finally liquidates.

That must be new. When I had an AOL account in the late 90s, I got a few hundred spams a day. This was before spamming was even all that common. Their only answer was to block the particular address, which of course did no good. When did AOL suddenly start caring about spam? I know they sued that spammer and recovered his Porsche, but that was mainly a PR stunt.

The only people parroting this line are the ones who support the destruction of Israel, like the UN, all of the middle east, and most of Europe. Now that Hezbollah got the war they've been clamoring for over the last few years they're doing what Muslims always do when someone hits back: crying like pussies.

While I think it's a bad thing for companies to make hasty short-term decisions just to please Wall Street, a public company must give some thought to profit. Amazon has historically failed to do this. It's great that they are constantly looking to expand and innovate, but such a huge drop in profits is unacceptable when running a public company. Bezos needs to sell out and move on to something else. He's great at starting companies but once they go public he is not the guy investors want running the show. Why there aren't more people calling for his head is beyond me. I'll short this stock until it hits $10 a share.

Overall, they prefer to keep the schools shitty since they can use poor student performance as an argument for "more educational funding", nevermind that historically schools have NOT gotten better as more money is thrown at them. Get rid of teacher unions, cut the school budgets, and maybe then some real progress can be made.
