    1. I changed an engine to the reverse rotation direction. OK, it was a 2-stroke engine but anyway. It allowed for a more reliable transmission changing from belt drive to cog drive.
    2. Transplanted the electronic board from a hard-crashed ST402 drive to another that had dead electronics to get one working drive.

    It depends on if you want to push for everything being open source or if you just want to spread your pieces as open source. In the latter case the Apache license is probably one of the better with few snags for those that want to incorporate your pieces into something bigger.

    If all anti-virus softwares started to list any installer with an "Opt-Out" procedure as "Potentially Unwanted Program Installer" it would put an end to the habit of pushing shit down the throat of users.

    The problem is not so much people competent with tech as people that don't know left from right on computers and just clicks "Ok". They suffer from all that crap like a new browser installed as well as changed homepages and search providers and then they scream that they don't understand their computer.

    Number of hours working and effective work are two different things. It's what you achieve that matters.

    What baffles me is that there's a salary threshold for overtime at all. Only thing that matters shall be hours exceeding normal hours.

    In some cases there may be two levels of overtime pay as well - like where I live where overtime is 1.5 or 2.0 times the hour pay for overtime hours. No ceiling on salary for overtime pay, but there's some union agreements on total number of overtime hours that may be worked.

    I see that this is essentially going back to what they did with MS-DOS. It was essentially overlooked that people upgraded DOS to latest version on their old machines because it at least did mean that they were tied into the Microsoft environment and would therefore purchase other M$ products.

    Just tie the users to your platform, then you have them in your hand.

    That's a completely different issue and a question of immaterial rights. Not a question of banning on the reason for being morally questionable.

    I wonder how many games that will end up having hidden content (easter eggs) with some questionable material not visible when the game is approved.

    Banned games? None that I know of where I live (Sweden).

    Of course - there are people crying that this or that should be banned for moral reasons, but unless it's classed as breaking some law like distribution of child pornography or being a trojan it's not going to be stopped.

    Add to it the fact that it will probably not work - to those using it as "medicine" it's only the real deal or nothing. Unless you are able to flood the market entirely and use "an offer you can't refuse" deals with so much fake stuff that it's impossible for the poachers to sell their stuff.

    It's a two-edged weapon.
      - With anonymity you can speak while having a low risk of being harassed.
      - With anonymity you will not have the same level of credibility, and you need to build your case more thoroughly.

    So if some anonymous troll refers to someone as a pedophile it's not credible and most people will and shall ignore that.

    Facebook is a pool of exhibitionists that don't care if they are tracked by a large number of commercial interests trying to figure out where they shall market their stuff. The reason why it's 'free' is because you are the merchandise they sell - and everything you 'like' at a vendor is one more thing that adds to the pool.

    Considering that most of Earth is overrun by humans and that many species are in minority and located to small shrinking areas it's a cause for concern. Only species that benefits humans or live in areas inhospitable for humans have a better chance of survival.

    If the value is zero, then the result is zero regardless of what it's divided by, so in that case zero is a good result and in practical aplication better than a value of 1 or infinity. Especially since the value zero lacks sign - you can't do positive or negative infinity.

    Or as stated elsewhere - if you divide zero apples with zero - how many pieces do you have?
