    What about your PSU?
For my system, a large part of the noise comes from the PSU unit. Did you but a silent version?

Also, are there any watercoolings systems out there designed for PSUs?

For some reason, I did not manage to get this working on my system (Win XP SP2) while using FireFox (1.0 w/ latest tabbrowser extention). When I tried it in IE, it worked as stated.. Could this have had something to do with the tabbrowser extention? (I did try it several times, with both links in FireFox, all times I got to the Citibank page when clicking the "Consumer Alert" link, whereas I got the secunia page in IE) Not saying that FireFox is not affected by this, other comments have shown that it does in fact work in FireFox, just curious as to why it didn't on my system.

Yes, the very same way we today look back on the book 1984 as "amazingly prophetic". Sure, there are some similarities, and people still like to draw parallels between everything that happens today and what happens in the book, but the world in large is very far from the world in the book.

  10. Could be on Phish Moves To FLAC · · Score: 5, Interesting

It's all about someone taking the first step. Most end users won't install new codecs for anything unless they absolutley have to (like divx), or if it's included in the player/program they're installing (like mp3 in winamp).

More sources start releasing their audio in FLAC, then more software developers will include support for it, and even more audio will be released, and so forth.

It's always that first step that's the hard part, after that, good solutions often spread themselves.

    I agree.

I'm not a mac fan, and I would have had no clue whatsoever that the G5 was on the way, had it not been for this..

It seems as "leaks" theese days are becomming more and more frequent.. At least the ones that gets people excited.
And why not, it's a great way of getting peoples attention, because everyone wants to see other peoples "misstakes". And if your hear about something secret leaking out of a big company, and then beeing removed a few minutes later, your gonna read about it. And most likley hear about the product in question at the same time.

True, but there is already ways to run Java on cellphones, mabye you could use that to encrypt the text before sending it? Granted, you would not be able to encrypt very long messages, but it's a start. And now that MMS is on the way, we might see some new custom software for phones soon.

..we'll see encrypted SMS? On the other hand, if it's not already, it'll probably soon be a criminal offense to send any encrypted messages over there as well..
