Well this law was snuck in as one of the last acts of a government who was way behind in a poles going into an election.
It got basically 0 coverage in NZ. I only herd about it via an international site. The issue got international attention and international personalities (who I am thankful for) raised its profile.
After this it got awareness in mainstream NZ, the people protested and the new government removed it. (as it wasn't their law they had an easy out)
I haven't herd them critise the old government 1 bit and this would be a perfect chance and they do over _every_thing else.

1st - its just not nice to use - don't know why - personal
However more specifically
*I hate how its always trying to make me upgrade
*Trys to get as many hooks into your system as it can (they try not to cross the line But I've noticed them exceeding their right over the years)
*Reader has had some nasty crashes/freezes that have hurt my whole system - its doesn't have to do this
*They try and make you pay to produce documents in their format - sure they are a business - If their Document Creator is good enough sure you can pay for it, but in a free market they shouldn't own the format and everyone should have the same rights - It seems fair if its good for word vs open document format then its good for pdf
Anyway I'm fear I might be getting to logical by raising points - I just want to reiterate my feelings just come form emotional hate for adobe.
I find acrobat about as fun to use as Real Player.
See ms more than fair enough - having a de facto standard that is proprietary - hope it gets ditched
Come on you Americans must still love Mother England?
We have to be tight us English speakers - if we show gaps in our unity next thing the French will be pretending to be a superpower again
Long Live the Empire
Rule, Britannia! Britannia, rule the waves!
Britons never, never,* never shall be slaves!
Why is this a troll? Its true. I work with MS tech and I like it - only I'm not paying all the licensing costs my organisation is.
It is possible to use non MS techs along with them but life's so much easier if you do it all the MS way - which of course leads to more licensing costs
Cheers - I was being serious
Like Professor_UNIX I never herd of the game - but have now seen the trailer and will quite likely buy it provided it gets good reviews.
I have a couple of questions about the game if any one reading this thread knows.
What game engine does this use? The old GTA one? The new Table tennis one?
This is Rock Star Toronto - the GTAs are Rock Star North how much does the standard vary between Rockstar development teams?
So I'm guessing that the classic ending of the series back in the Shire is going to be nixed completely? Fuckers. Illiterate, exploitative mother-fuckers.
Sadley Yes, this was said ages ago (I think perhaps somewhere on the 1st Special Eddition DVD)
Well the same is true for anything you might buy.
When wine, chease or any food makers enter a contest they send their best "for that competion stock". They still sell it at the supermarket as gold Medel winning but it an't quite the same.
I guess it just sucks a little more with larger purchases like hardware and cars rather than foods.
I dont thinks its that wrong it is in our nature to put forward our best when being tested, we all might work a little harder when we know the boss is watching (even if we're not a slacker), we just have to learn to judge things right.
Yeah, back when I was a student I took a Marketing corse. This was back when CDs were still selling well. We had a lecturer who had experence with Music Indistry. He told us then that the fat cats in the record companys were perplexed as to why sales were still so strong at the high price tag. He also said they expected to drop the prices below the $US 10 mark within in the first year or two after CDs came out.

No State is bankrupt. Some have serious budget deficits, but a State would only be bankrupt if, after liquidating its property, it still couldn't cover its shortfall. No State is anywhere even vaguely near this.
Nobody is suggesting that the shuttles are grounded because the American government can't pay to run them. It's obvious to everyone that they've been grounded for safety reasons.
You kind of miss the point. Its not how YOU see the recent events, its how they are showen in the Russian media (unless you live in Russia?). Or more to the point what are things really like in Russia? Not in the US media.
And just how are they planning to fund all this? Considering the dilapidated state of the russian economy at the moment, you'd think they'd be more concerned with looking after terraferma and getting their house straight back home instead of firing billions of dollars into outer space.
Hmmm, perhaps Russia is not as crappy and run down as the US Media/Government says.
I wounder how the semi-recent falls on US stock markets has been showen in the Media in Russia. Or even the fall of the $US, or the bankruptchy of several States, or the grounding of the US shuttle program. Bet the Russians are woundering how the US can pay for anything too.

As a programmer I find (in regards to security) that fear is often overridden by laziness

Isn't the 32 Bit limit for Hard Drives 2.2 terabytes?
I don't know of too many desk tops this will effect.
I don't think its a joke - I reckoned they did

Heh canon. This is Star Wars, its a soap. Its romeo and juliet in space. If there were no explosions it would be a chick flick.

Well I did buy those pills, and I'm quite happy with the extra 2.5" I got with my money.
