Has anyone considered that this person may be on a poor speed test site, such a one that is not geographically local to his location.
Also what is the ADSL trained at? The advertised rate?
I agree with the bonded T1's; a cisco router will be able to keeping routing even if one of the T1's drops. Also you can add bonded T1's as needed. Fiber (muni or commercial) is another option, which also scalable.
Telephone company save money when they bundle services not only because you are paying for more but also because they only have to pay for 1 piece of copper (1 circuit) for two different services (same reasoning behind VOIP).
Local Vermont ISP Sovernet charges $50 a month for a DSL serivce to the NID (Network Interface Device). No additional monthly charge for the circuit all you need for internal wiring is a spare phone line that doesn't have DT (dial tone) on it, or you need to extend the circuit to a phone jack if both phone lines are already being used.
why not go to "mail.yahoo.com" skip to the email authentication page?

Why 1080p? Is the display going on a 1080p TV?
Thank you, that was bothering me.
Tivo's "lifetime" subscription is on the lifetime of the Tivo unit, not your lifetime.

Finally someone got it right! Something I learned in a Pyscology 101 Class.
