    CG animation also allows you to imerse people in a world not possible by the bounds of reality. Fish can't speak english, Sharks don't go to mach AA type meetings, your toys don't run around your room while you're away, and there is not a monster world on the other side of your closet door. But the 'reality' in these worlds are so great, that you don't even notice it's fiction after a while.

    My first mp3 download was actually a lot of downloads. Back before I trimmed my MP3 collection down to only legal tracks. I found out about Napster. Downloaded everything I could get my hands on. For weeks I saturated my dial-up connection while I was at work.

    I can't think of any digital storage medium more poorly suited for a web site that gets any significant amount of traffic.

    I see this box good for archiving for a single user situation.
    Think mobile technitian that needs a ton of files always available.

    I think the best way to get to the future, is together. Solaris web servers, FreeBSD app servers, Linux, BSD, OSX, and windows workstations, OpenBSD firewalls. This sounds like utopia to me. So, the sooner MS opens up it's doors and accepts the *nix world as a partner and not an advisary, the sooner we can got o my perfect place.

    What are the odds of a piece coming off, and having it still be so close? Must have fallen off right at landing.

    Pictures like this give me warm feelings inside though. Images from a place so secluded, people can't get there right now. Almost any place on earth I can make my way to, but there, no matter how hard I try, i can't go there.

    RFID, good ideas. Putting this chip in somehting that might not be very popular in a year or less, bad idea. I think it's a good idea to put them in all sorts of other things. What about a belt attachement (very tiny), card for your wallet, maybe something else.

    Point being, put it in something less fasion related, like clothes are.

    THat is a really bad ratio of signal to noise. I mean, really bad.

    I recieve 300 spams to my account every single day. 1 every other dayor so actually makes it to my inbox. That is 0.0016% of spam messages cought that make it through my filters. Compared to your 10%, this it's an amazing difference.

    Spamassassin and greylisting. Amazing combination.

    "can't" is a pretty powerfull and sweeping word. lets try "Can't for a reasonable cost"

    I think waiting a couple years, or more, would have been a good idea. But what do we know, we're just the demand side of the equation.

    lefty.ca (My mail provider) catches better than 99.5% of my spam. We use greylisting, and Spamassassin. Works great.
