CG animation also allows you to imerse people in a world not possible by the bounds of reality. Fish can't speak english, Sharks don't go to mach AA type meetings, your toys don't run around your room while you're away, and there is not a monster world on the other side of your closet door. But the 'reality' in these worlds are so great, that you don't even notice it's fiction after a while.
My first mp3 download was actually a lot of downloads. Back before I trimmed my MP3 collection down to only legal tracks. I found out about Napster. Downloaded everything I could get my hands on. For weeks I saturated my dial-up connection while I was at work.
I think the best way to get to the future, is together. Solaris web servers, FreeBSD app servers, Linux, BSD, OSX, and windows workstations, OpenBSD firewalls. This sounds like utopia to me. So, the sooner MS opens up it's doors and accepts the *nix world as a partner and not an advisary, the sooner we can got o my perfect place.
What are the odds of a piece coming off, and having it still be so close? Must have fallen off right at landing.
Pictures like this give me warm feelings inside though. Images from a place so secluded, people can't get there right now. Almost any place on earth I can make my way to, but there, no matter how hard I try, i can't go there.
For the same reason user interfaces generaly suck, geeks are not artsy. They don't know somehting sounds stupid, because they don't think like the rest of the world.
RFID, good ideas. Putting this chip in somehting that might not be very popular in a year or less, bad idea. I think it's a good idea to put them in all sorts of other things. What about a belt attachement (very tiny), card for your wallet, maybe something else.
Point being, put it in something less fasion related, like clothes are.
THat is a really bad ratio of signal to noise. I mean, really bad.
I recieve 300 spams to my account every single day. 1 every other dayor so actually makes it to my inbox. That is 0.0016% of spam messages cought that make it through my filters. Compared to your 10%, this it's an amazing difference.
Spamassassin and greylisting. Amazing combination.

I can't think of any digital storage medium more poorly suited for a web site that gets any significant amount of traffic.
I see this box good for archiving for a single user situation.
Think mobile technitian that needs a ton of files always available.
You can't review a lot of things the military does. Are you against that too?
Sure. Just buy 4 of these and one of these. same capacity, faster too. That comes to $890 USD
In fact, get this. More storage, and still less money than the LaCie unit at $1126 USD.
yeah, this is a no brainer. Everyone should use the best software for the job. Not use something BECAUSE it's OSS.
*squints*
Okay, yeah, I can see that.

With negative dollar amounts? ]:3)>
Why would a legitimate user be manipulating images of money?

"can't" is a pretty powerfull and sweeping word. lets try "Can't for a reasonable cost"
I think waiting a couple years, or more, would have been a good idea. But what do we know, we're just the demand side of the equation.
Elk Falls, Vancouver Island, near Campbell River.
I have never seen water so cold, look so blue, while still flowing.
Video playback I could resize on the fly!
Call me lazy, but I hate putting in all those switches for mplayer.
If I was not so fond of my given name, I'd change my name to something very muslim. I am sure my future wife would not be too happy though.
Can you think of anything more embarrassing than having it happen again though? Nothing would make us feel more unsafe.
Every time I go to Vancouver, BC it's harder to come back. Some day soon, if not now, the grass will truelly be greener.
I would hate to have seen the beta versions of this. Talk about setting yourselfup for one hell of a cheesey mess.
I don't know what you are talking about!
There is now cow. . . .
lefty.ca (My mail provider) catches better than 99.5% of my spam. We use greylisting, and Spamassassin. Works great.
