How about someone else's analogy - If my neighbor leaves their porch light on and the light comes to my yard and I sit on a chair in my yard and read a book in that light. Now if you were that neighbor, you would be trying to sue me for using your light that is coming in my yard???
Now thats a nice job. Get in the Google/Stanford truck and drive around (don't forget to check out the Indian dude in Google truck. Talk about cheap labor)!
goD put that omnivore fossil out there to confuse scientists and test the faith of evangelists. hE had so much free time after creation that he wanted to play some tricks and enjoy looking at the morons that hE created for hiS amusement.
Get a cross-cut/confetti cut shredder and then mix the shredded paper well. Then split the shreds into two or more groups and throw in trash in different locations or on different days.
If it bothers you too much after you paid for the merchandise and the alarm goes off and you are stopped by the security people, do this - After they are done searching for those items on your receipt, you tell them that now you would like to return those items as you have no desire to take them home after the embarrassment caused to you.
Laws are to be for the benefit of people. These days, if you are rich and can have a government official elected by generous donations, media exposure, etc., you can get laws passed that might benefit you more than the public...
"We are not poor due to our stupidity. We are poor by design. Just a 100 years ago, we were the richest nation on earth." No you weren't.
Probably they weren't the richest but do you know that Dubya's Yale University is named after the guy (YALE, ELIHU) who robbed India in the name of Trade(as a governor of British East India Company in Madras, India around 1687) and donated a little bit of that robbed Indian money to the Collegiate School at Saybrook, Connecticut around 1718 and it was eventually renamed Yale University after this Mr Yale.
It shows an innocent-looking list of files from an FTP site. The uppermost file says, "Hellboy.SCREENER.Proper.READ NFO PRE VCD." Translation: The DVD of one of the year's biggest box office hits has been pirated two months before its intended release date. "The FBI would kill to be sitting here looking at this," he says.
Can't FBI wiretap all his network data by getting a warrant for the ISP and break in??
If I use IE for another two years, my tool bars (pop-up blocking, anti-phishing, and what not) will take more room than the actual content of the web pages. Then browser page will effectively become a toolbar!
There is a much cheaper way of doing this. Just get a FM transmitter (Bestbuy, Radioshack or any electronics store should have it) that has power adapter and hook it to the speaker output. Then listen to this music on your favorite Radio/Music system that has FM radio. As far as not being able to read the song/artist title information goes, you already mentioned that you don't want your mom to sit in front of computer (or your linksys radio). Maybe you still have time to return it and get something that will cost less (like the FM transmitter I mentioned) and give you more and with the remaining money, you can take your mom out for dinner.
Verizon is working frantically to lay the optic fiber door-to-door. They already offer superfast internet speeds 15Mbps/2Mbps for $49.95 in some markets. The service is called FIOS (http://www.verizon.net/fios) and I strongly believe that Verizon is working hard to get into Cable TV business. They already offer DIRECTV® deals with their unlimited Freedom long distance package.
This would most likely have no benefit to international flights that fly over a long stretch of ocean. I remember a while ago that you could use the the special phone in flight which could read credit cards but the rate was around $15 per minute!! I don't know if all trans-atlantic flights take a very similar route and if would ever be profitable for a cell phone provider to provide signal over that route......
Blacklist ISP's/IPs of those chinese spammers and block their emails. The Chinese government will be happy (since it is a form of web related censorship) and if they don't like it, they need to stop that spam.

Once they finish laying the optic fiber in their major markets, they would start offering TV over those lines.
