Dude, you are talking about a game where people jump, and then set their feet real good against thin air and jump again. And people resist rocket launcher hits without loss of limb or ability.
Hmm, you're right, this isn't bad for a "this desktop never leaves the house, but it's easy to tuck away when I don't need it sitting out" market. Might consider it on those grounds.
And then massage your wrists... as if a normal keyboard wasn't bad enough...
Sorry, I hate the ergonomics of notebooks. I got one on loaner from a friend to finish my thesis (so I can camp outside my tutor's office:) and damn, my hands hurt.
At least with paperless voting you need something more sofisticated and educated that a horde of gorillas that can barely read and write their names
But when a bunch of gorillas steal a booth, you can SEE a booth is missing, you can see that a shitload of vote serial numbers aren't accounted for, etc. There is evidence, if not of who commited fraud, that fraud has indeed happened. With electronic stolen elections, it is much easier to cover tracks.
IMO, BTW IANAL TLA, SCO is also guilty of barratry (The offense of persistently instigating lawsuits, typically groundless ones) as they have filed numerous suits against various groups without providing so much as a shred of tangible evidence (ie, evidence that wasn't refuted within 24 hours).
Correct me if I'm wrong, but AFAIK SCO has not filed a single suit besides de IBM one. What they are guilty of is TALKING OUT OF THEIR ASS and threathening to file suit against half the world and his dog.
And if you want a more secure system, yeah, upgrade. It works that way no matter what your personal philosopy behind your OS choice.
Why? Can't I get a patch for my current version? Imagine that, a security fix that doesn't need you to upgrade, possibly breaking a fine-tuned system(*).
(*) This is no figment of my imagination. At work we have a kickass app that runs on specific versions of perl, apache, mod_perl, etc. Trying to run it with the new apache and mod_perl leads to random hangs and shared memory leaks. If apache had the MS approach to security, a bug in their software would have made my app either unstable or insecure.
The katana is probably just extra service, in case Gates can find someone willing to behead him and stop his most painfull and honorable suicide.
No, the katana is there to make his suicide honorable. You see, few people can resist cutting out his/her entrails without quite a bit of screaming and thrashing.
So, the person who his killing him/herself slices himself open, and the assistant will gauge the moment when it looks the guy/gal can't hold a minute longer without howling his/her head off, and then beheads him/her. That way, the person faced death bravely and not whinning like an animal.
3. Yes that claim is bogus, but so what? They shouldn't be forced to remove it anyway. if you read that whole thread you'll read why getting rid of bundling is stupid for EVERYONE, especially consumers.
Well, I for one don't have a problem with bundling. What really bothers me is that uninstalling is well-nigh impossible, and the system refuses to acknowledge your preferences. (html links from other programs will open at random in your default browser or in IE)
If you are a serious video producer or graphic designer, you should be using a G5 tower with a nice large screen, not a laptop.
Beg to differ. A 12" powerbook has proved to be prefectly functional regarding graphic design. (My brother has been using one for making TV commercials, and damn it works!)
It's funny, but it also is true. I would love to have a cell phone that is small, nice looking and JUST MAKES CALLS AND STORES ADRESSES! Why must we overpay for tons of features that we don't want or need.
I don't know if it would fly in the USA, but in Chile if the police pulled that kind of stunt you would be on a very good footing for suing the pants off the state. Lost clients, lost revenues, etc.
I think this will not feel too good for the american public.
Maye redhat can afford some real good lawyer, but IBM _has_ the best _on payroll_. That's right, IBM probably has more lawyers on payroll than redhat has employees.
I had to disable a LOT of services. I you "OK" you way through the whole installation, you get almost everything that you aske to be installed enabled by default.
Finally, it isn't photo ID, so its not that useful as ID.
Photo IDs are useful as long as you look like your picture. My brother caught some shit from cops in Chile because he grew a beard and long hair, so he looked like anything but his ID. My own ID is from ten years ago, and in the picture I'm thinner and have long hair. I look like my picture when I shave, if anytime.
In Chile, not having your driver's licence when driving a car is subject of a hefty fine, and I think they take you in too, as you can't drive with it.
Not having your ID card with you results in being taken in. That's right. You must have your ID card or a slip of paper from the cops wich they give you when you report your ID card stolen. (Stolen ID cards are not funny stuff, people use the here for fraudulent loans and the guy whose ID was used for it has a hard time getting all that debt cleared.)
"Die Bart Die"
Bob: It's german!
Parole officers: If he knows german, he must be a nice guy. Parole conceded!".
And you're worried about weight?
And then massage your wrists... as if a normal keyboard wasn't bad enough...

If your operating system has a year on its name, it's obsolete! :D

Say it aloud: R-R-S
Our ARSES! Cool ri- ummmm...
ok, ok, let's call it SpeedFeed.
How Are You Gentelmen,
all your job are belong to us.
You have no chance to re-hire make your desk.
HA HA HA!
(I know, I know)
Oh, the backup engine is there alright. We just neglected to carry fuel for it onboard :D

While I acknowledge that XML is great for some things, why is it that it gets used for almost everything nowadays? Damn buzzword-dominated market...
Ok, I'll be quiet now :)

You're from last century, whereas I am from... huh? WHAT? nineteen seventy what? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Because, for a allegedly kick-ass portable game console, getting sued by a bunch of silly plastic people from last century would be soooo embarrasing.
Beg to differ. A 12" powerbook has proved to be prefectly functional regarding graphic design. (My brother has been using one for making TV commercials, and damn it works!)

Do they close the several-block-radios for ten days?
Dude, you are about fourteen years late with your joke. Pinochet stepped down in 1990. The old bastard is so last century...
I think this will not feel too good for the american public.

Ooooh, big profit. :)
I borrow at 1.5 cents a share and buy them back at one cent a share!
And I'll do it with ONE THOUSAND SHARES! (pinky to motuh a la Dr. Evil) Muahahahaha!
