There is more use for this product than just lawyer offices. My mother works for childrens services in washingon state.
she has to manually redact a lot of police reports & case worker reports.
granted, with this product, it would automate it, but someone will always have to proof read the document.
hopefully if DSHS gets these, she'll still have a job.
Seriously.... does any one watch this channel still?
I was forced to watch G4 once they took over TechTV, and I watched it for a while after.
I'll admit that I liked shows like Icon & Cinematech. About a year ago I couldn't stand it anymore.... what it's turned out to be is a rip off of Spike TV.
Comcast, I bet (and hope) is losing money hand over fist with this channel.
I agree about the lawyer, but this is not the record companies field. They have domain over the actual song, but the written lyrics of the songs. Those are delt with by ASCAP/BMI. Just as the famed PearLyric app for Mac OS X has found out....
If you don't have the funds to pay to ASCAP/BMI (the good guys), then you're pretty much screwed.
Having worked in an industry that has contracts all the time, a good deal of those non-compete clause, agreements, ect. have been taken to court, with the contract found unconstitutional.
Could be different here.
Clear Channel has a ton of clout, but not as much pull as Microsoft does.
"Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon are kids' shows. Evangelion is not"
I can't speak for Sailor Moon, but have you seen the original Japanese VHS?
I'd hardly call DBZ (DB more so) for kids, just some episodes specifically.
I worked for an out sourced call center for Earthlink in late 03. At that time, Earthlink didn't support Linux at all.
I had about 3 calls about people wanting to set up Kppp, but I was told by my supervisor to not say anything but "Earthlink does not support any linux distribution"
One other call was someone calling for a number, but at the time we had to ask what OS they were using, and I did as my supervisor told me to do....
Right after I gave the statement, the caller gave me an ass chewing, saying that he just needed a number because he just moved to a new state.
I'm glad to see that one of the bigger dial up companies has changed their stance on Linux... or have they? Anyone know?
"Seriously though, looking at the list, there are some stunning show stoppers. Photoshop CS!!?! "
Remember that Phototshop CS2 will be out soon... now would be a great time to upgrade./sarcasm
Since I have one of those proprietary 5.1 surrand sound cards that really aren't usuable without configuring ALSA, whenever the system boots up, it just crashes the sound subsystem, everything else runs perfectly fine.

I never used Jailbreak before and don't plan to.
Let me know when iToner works again.
It was foolish of me to update from 1.0.2.
I was thinking the same, but GNU/Hurd instead.

"but the people who buy the mac mini, iMac and iPod's aren't worried about the underlying technology."
Not true. I bought a mini so I could actually get a mac. Not all of us can throw out $1500+ on a computer.
Sorry, but not all of us will be able to afford to check out the fancy effects any time soon.

She let me taste that sugar whole and I wanted more
Great concept, pineapple juice.

I'll probably wait to watch it on DVD, while enjoying freshly picked Tomacco.

"Start flame war now, but if you've met Microsoft people in Redmond, they are not 'utterly devoid of opinions'"
Just when I needed mod points.....
Most people don't know how true this is.
Those Apple displays are also wall mountable. There goes your desk space argument.
During the budget debate, it was, "Don't raise taxes during a recession."
During the gubernatorial campaign, it was, "Twenty years of Democratic control of Olympia has ruined the state's economy--it's time for
a change."
/truly non-partisan
I tend to agree, the last Dem Governor really screwed things up, but I'm willing to see how Gregoire works out.

Bah weep granah weep ninni bong
The first PlayStation had the unoffical PSX, then they named the PlayStation media center PSX,.
http://www.psx.sony.co.jp/
So the PS3 will be just, PS3.
I agree with that whole heartedly.
My question is, what does Bruce Perens think of this?
"Not to forget the little sticker saying: 'Now with 30% less fat!'" You mean a distro without Gnome or KDE?
Go ahead & mod me down or a troll if you wish...
but when it comes to Linux, we (./ers) want to abolish IP laws, but when it comes to MAME, we want them to be enforced?
Maybe I'm not seeing the entire picture here.....
but if this about trademark, then I'm all for making Ultracade an example.
If you don't want Linspire, then ditch it...
The bottom line for me, is that all the hardware is penguin friendly, and that's what matters.
So, I'll end up tossing Linspire out & throw Debian or SuSE on it.

You mean you & the 3 other users made a book waiting for your system to compile?
