    I work with professional audio at home and work.

    ALSA is a pain in the ass.

    Audacity is good for an amature, but like the parent said, until there are more professional apps, Linux will just be a good server os, and an o.k. desktop.

    If businesses cannot embrace Linux due to lack of apps, who will?

    No, you shouldn't.
    This is Apple's music player !
    If you want something to play .ogg, go buy a compatable .ogg player.
    If you want a USB thmb drive, buy one.
    Since this (and the mini Mac) is aimed for the people that don't have 3 jobs and go to school that can get a good discount, these products are perfect for breakthrough Apple switchers, like myself.
    Now, if only Uncle Sam would send my check sooner....

    I use both Winholes & Debian.... so I'll be happy when it comes out. I'm just glad I'll soon have a new game to cure my FPS jones. I mean... HL & Q3 (and a ton of mods for said games) can only do so much for a person all these years.

    First off... I personally agree with that statement.
    Second... I was working a dead end call center job for an ISP when Blaster was running rampant.
    Even though this was a Windows problem (and should have been sent to Microsoft), we trouble shooted it since it did technically stop a customer from getting online.
    I think after that, nearly every Joe 6-pack finally realized that the thing in his "Start Menu" called "Windows Update" was something to use often.
