One should always know alot about a company before investing in them. Mutual funds help by adding diversity and professional management, but the investor should still note what stocks the fund is in to make sure it is being managed reasonably.

This deal helped some investors and hurt others. This is not atypical in the tech sector. Here is another example. Note the extremely high stock price in Jan of '00, just before the recession began later that year, and compare to the current price. Management of a major corporation can be a tricky thing. Buyer beware.

And how does the US record of incarceration compare to the number of "prisoners" put to death without even a trial in other countries? Or countries that cut off limbs rather than put people in jail? I'm quite sure those nations are 100% accurate in their reporting.

Only the notion that the populace may not be actually behind the parent as the parent tries to suppose. And it is in fact that people don't care. I'm sure all those games I demo'ed to all those VIPs from all over the world were all in my head.

  21. Once more, the deal with E3 on On E3's Awards, Anticipation, Predictions · · Score: 2, Informative

The deal with E3 is, ITS NOT FOR YOU. E3 is a trade show. This means it is for people involved with the trade. E3 exists so publishers can sell their wares (pun quite intended) to retailers. The hype is in the hope that Wal-Mart will buy 1M copies instead of 20k. Games are shown far in advance so that important people (I think you guys call the PHB's) can make long term decisions for companies all along the manufacture and distribution trail. Sometimes a game wins an award in a year wherein the game is not ready to be released. That's noone fault but all the other companies who failed to produce a demo better than one for a product THAT IS TWO YEARS AWAY.

In summation, don't drool over E3. Its only you that will be hurt. E3 is not approached at all as a way to hype up fanboys, but to hype up Blockbuster so it buys more copies to satisfy is Guarenteed to be There promise or whatever. Once again, if you hang on every word of every report from E3, its your own fault.

That said, I'll be there. HA
