More than anything though, EGA blew me away. CGA was a small step from Mono, but EGA (16 colors) was a mind blowing experience.
I have serious doubts the RFID will contain "all your information." It will likely contain a unique identifier which can then be used to retrieve your information at a customs station. Not like that makes me feel very comfortable anyways, but then again, SSNs have pretty much been whored...

Considering how much outsourcing there is in the industry, jack of all trades are becoming more popular. Companies want to hire people who have varied knowledge since the specific tasks can be outsourced. Managerial positions in IT where one can make decisions on what and where projects can be outsourced requires broader knowledge.

Thats one heck of a leap forward from connecting x number of snail nerves together.
There's so much junk orbitting our planet that man and non-manned flights into space are becoming increasingly dangerous. It may help to take hubble out of orbit and destroying it.
Not to mention there are web based java ssh clients... who knows, some employees might be inclined to use one. That pretty much gives an unknown source a nice key for your network.

I agree that VPN is probably the best solution, but his reply "a vpn is a hole in the firewall" does remind us that we cant get too comfortable with VPN. A lot of sysadmins get very comfy with VPN and allow their users quite a bit of freedom over VPN which can potentially make the problem even worse.
Not saying you do or not, just saying that he does have a point, even though I agree that if VPN is implemented properly its probably one of the best solutions.
Looks like we may finally be able to use our phones as GPS devices, rather then have to carry an extra GPS device.
This would be especially handy in Europe.

Too bad I dont see any improvements to the printing capabilities in the release notes. Inkscape is really lacking in terms of printing.
