    There was a good episode of UK scrapheap challenge where the teams converted full-size remote control cars for a smackdown in an arena marked out in a field.

    Lots of energy, noise, damage and spectacle and the teams were safely 300 metres away on a hill. theres no reason they cant do that here. just isolate the audience and get some decent weapons going on.

    Pen and paper is an enviable deveopment environment that never suffers from crashes or data loss. I used to use the same technology in my early days of programming.

    Though I remember once during the 80s my big brother deliberately hid my workbook and I couldnt finish my project.

    I suppose youd call that a denial of service attack now.

    Look, I know the UK gets slammed regularly here on Slashdot for CCTV privacy issues and government spying, but at least we have a halfway decent Data Protection Act with teeth. A company pulling this kind of shit wouldnt get 2 steps in the UK. Doesnt the US have something similar to deter blatant abuses like this?
