So Microsoft wants to kill off Linux... So they pay for ads on a Linux news website to help support it... This ticks off linux readers so they boycott Linux Today and have thus helped Microsoft strangle a well known Linux website, thus helping Microsoft kill off Linux.
Seriously though, This "robot" sounds like a piece of junk. It would take about an hour to do 7 shirts and use up to 3.3 KW hours! Meanwhile you'd have to run over every 8 minutes to switch shirts. And it doesn't even fold them for you? Give me a break.
"The software savings are negligible because, as Auger points out, it's almost impossible to buy a new PC without getting Windows on it."
WTF? Does that mean they are buying PCs with windows and throwing out the Windows (out the window)? There are ample place to buy computers without windows. To buy one with Windows is a waste of money and worse, blind support of the MS empire. It says they are buying 35 more PCs. That 35 more copies of Windows sold and flushed? I wish I could make money that easily.
I've understood that ESPN and cohorts have been charging an arm and a leg for their shite. My understanding is that they've been hiking their rates through the roof. Some may like their stuff but others like me don't watch it but still have to pay a stiff fee for it.
This may be a little off topic but I'd like to hear from someone that knows the facts about this and just whose feed troughs my cable bill is going into.
There's 6 pins on the back of some remote controls called the JP1 and with a build-it-or-buy-it cable, you can hack your remote to do all sorts of cool shit it couldn't do before.

So the idea is to make customers happy by getting them so pissed at the automated system that they actually start swearing at a lifeless machine and then and only then will they finally get to talk to a help desk that now only answers calls from people who are +/- a few degrees from snap-I've-gone-insane?
I don't know if I feel more sorry for the customers or the people answering the phones.
I use this method and find it a hell of a lot safer than the standard way. Maybe it varies from car to car but with this setup I can see a car passing me the entire time. It's either in a mirror or the corner of my eye.
Anyone care to calculate the amount of energy it takes to write the average/. post? Then calculate how many birds die from each post and how many/. has killed in the past year!

A device that interperets what my dog is saying to me in barkese is a far cry from a universal translator.

Just have the 2 monitors 180 degrees out of phase and they will just cancel each other out.
