    Actually, as the legend says, this was one of the turning points for MS, back the at the time when Lotus 1-2-3 reigned.

    Back there, while Lotus was cramming everything to fit in 640k of memory, MS was making Excel w/o concerns for machines, and they got to ship earlier.

    Than, by the time 1-2-3 shipped, modern machines were cheap enough, so people went with Excel instead

    It really makes sense, in a way.

    Sorry for being rude, your post is quite enlightening

    Even though 225lb at 6'1 is overweight (of course, by your text you come off as a 'big guy'), it is much less than several people with T2D.

    And, as somebody said, 95% of cases of type 2 comes from being obese.

    This has NOTHING TO DO with age. Yes, there may be age discrimination there, but this is not it.

    The reason they ask this questions is precisely why you can type a city in google maps, it comes up, zoom in an out in the blink of an eye.

    Guess what, if you don't know the best sorting algorithm for a certain situation (and you only know that if you know how does it work), you will pick the wrong choice.

    Samples from the web? It is not gonna cut it when you're trying to be the best.

    To get in, people have to study, hard, and even then, it will only get you so far.

    At the same time Google has the highest barrier for entry (employee-wise), they buy DoubleCrap (stupid) and take everybody (or, at least, most) inside (DoubleStupid).

    And then people at DoubleCrap start having funny ideas, management at G accepts it and now we have DoubleCrap ads as GAds.

    Remember, people at Google, what GAds was all about and why it was so successful.

    There are good (and cheap) ways of decontaminating water. Something as simple as "boiling". Some substances (like bleach and potassium permanganate) also do the trick.

    This may be a good idea for someone that has to drink water from whatever. But not for Katrina type of stuff.

    And even then, fish still fuck on it...

    As long as key phone lines in Redmond, WA are wiretapped. Or maybe important lines in fancy buildings, maybe in Hollywood, maybe in NY. What about lines in some corporate HQs? Or maybe lines in certain offices, in Washington DC.

    More important than open graphic drivers is open disk controller drivers, open USB controller drivers, etc, etc, etc

    Still, a great step.

    And even though I would be one of the first to say "talk is cheap, show me the specs", someone further behind the curtains told me some companies knew (and possibly working with) it already.

    Ecstasy is "fairly safe" (compared to alcohol) and LSD is "very safe" (compared to pretty much any other "drug" (legal or illegal)).

    I'm pretty liberal, but I guess you've picked up bad examples.

    Ecstasy: kills lots of people by means of deregulating body temp. and/or making them overdose on water.

    LSD safe?? Some people never come back from the trip. Some others keep having recurring flashes and trips, even years after taking it.

    Of course, YMMV, but those are bad examples of "safe drugs". Granted, your average meal at the fast food around the corner is not much safer than most drugs either.

    Well, it is very simple.

    Ask for ID

    The signature behind the card means absolutely nothing. The only way to be sure is to ask for ID.

    If stores will charge 6k to any CC out there,not checking, too bad for them.
