The one thing I can't get past in this, is why they "waited" [...] until level 45 to change it?
I had 2 of my World of Warcraft characters have forced name changes; one of those was level 60. I'm positive the only reason that I was forged to change was because I submitted a 2nd GM ticket when the 1st response I got didn't actually help me at all.
Like Taco, I was snagged by the "no titles" clause - I was "Drcarrot" and "Drhand". I also blogged about this but I think more people read Taco's rant than mine:)
The inital purchase of WoW comes with 1 month of access. You don't need to purchase a month of access on top of the game price to get you going.
You don't need a CC to continue to pay for continued gameplay. "The World of Warcraft Pre-Paid Game Card is a convenient payment option for those who prefer to pay cash for their World of Warcraft subscription and is available at most stores where computer games are sold"
These points probably won't get you to like the business model that WoW uses any more, I'd just like to correct some impressions you gave.
These organizations are under the control of a conspiracy that cares only about one thing: Reducing and eventually eliminating the rights of all people to information
I have mod points but there doesn't appear to be a "paranoid crazy" option.
But let`s be honest. 99% of modded Xbox and PS1/2 serve a lone purpose : playing games without paying for them
I guess that I'm part of that 1% then. I bought my xbox for one reason; to play the Buffy game. After I'd played that to death, I got the box modded and now it's sole purpose is to run XBMC.
Absolutely everyone I know know who has an xbox, has XBMC on there. Yes, some of these people no doubt also play pirated games but your 99% [...] lone purpose figure is either made up or a Microsoft statistic - <obligatory-ms-bash>Opps, I repeated myself</obligatory-ms-bash>.
No mention of fixing the "can't select object in use" bug that seams to have infected over half my lots. Typically if some poor sim has a fire while cooking, after the firemen put it out the object on the stove can't be selected. The stove becomes unusable and can't even be sold.
It's not just fires that cause this bug. I've also had toilets that can't be used because they are apparently in use; by invisible sims I guess. IIRC that's due to a sim being forcably removed from the object by a house event, like a birth; death; wedding or something like that.
I've been bitten by the disapearing small objects bug a few times. Nice to see that this patch fixes it. Would be nicer to think that applying the patch would give me the objects back.
Hold on a second. You accuse me of whining because I think that slashdot readers outside the US can cause a Slashdot Effect? The original poster appeared to find it strange that a site could be/.ed on thanksgiving night. I was merely providing him with a reason why this might be.
And I'm the one who needs to 'grow a skin'? "Chill, Winston."

So I guess they thought being old was "work". Otherwise, they'd be raising the pension while abolishing it.
Those silly Nazis.
As was expected it is a win for the first player with 25 points (the whole board belongs to black).
It's Go. Black plays first. Just like in that other board game, which I can't remember the name of, white goes first.
Somewhere, EA_Spouse is crying.

Not all of us live in your timezone or country.
Sounds a bit like at least one of the missions in Return to Castle Wolfenstein. 'Operation Resurrection' is the one that springs to mind.
