I run Firefox 3 on native 64-bit Ubuntu and flash just works. Installed it through synaptic and it installed all the 32-bit compatiblity stuff automagically.
Don't be fooled by the article however, Microsoft still has the mindshare of future consumers - they're the cool company that brought us the Xbox, Xbox Live, and the Halo franchise... In another 20 years, wouldn't you want to buy technology from the guys who brought you all the great memories from your childhood??
But 20 years is a very long time for technology. My childhood companies were Amiga, Atari, Commodore, Spectrum etc. and no kids today will have even heard of them (except maybe Atari)
Meh, the Oxford English dictionary has this to say:
war
* noun 1 a state of armed conflict between different nations, states, or armed groups. 2 a sustained contest between rivals or campaign against something undesirable: a war on drugs.
I've been quiet about this for too long, you people. The phrase is "I couldn't care less". Meaning you care so little that you could not possibly care any less.
Saying you could care less is saying you actually care.
Not sure about WoW, but in FFXI (Lvl. cap of 75) it takes the average player MONTHs to reach the level cap. A party of RMT with a power-leveller can accomplish the same in around 180 hours, or 7.5 days. I hear it's easier to level in WoW so it seems pretty feasible for them to be able to do this.
Mostly due to rotating shifts so the characters are on literally 24/7
Ever consider that two series of games, one on it's 12th iteration, the other on it's 8th, with Final Fantasy having Two movies, over 10 spin off games, an anime series, and so on, may actually be good?
If it was as much trash as you evidently think everyone else thinks, how has it lasted this long? It's not just Famitsu, I've yet to see any publication call an FF game shite.
So wait, Sony had a scandal and now we shouldn't buy the PS3?
Well that's okay then, I have options! I can buy a 360 or Revolution because Microsoft and Nintendo have never been the center of almight decade-long scandals!...Turnip
Fortunately the upper class are, on the whole, very very stupid and would have no idea what to do if the whole automated house of cards came tumblind down because a chip was soldered wrong or some such.
If you want people to visit your site, if you want a good search engine ranking, just have a bloody good website or a great company. Google doesn't (or never used to) advertise. Word of mouth is still one of the most powerful forms of advertising, take Maddox (even though I'm not keen) for example. Zero advertising yet it's one of the most popular sites on the internet. Same with a lot of the top sites on the internet, does Slashdot even advertise itself?
Paper publications tend to be edited and not a crappy blogger template filled with "omgz this game is so nice lookzing and rofl teh blah fucking blah".
I think they intend to party for twelve hours in FFXI, just for the look of the thing. :)
All the headlined items in the spam box on gmail show a different spam recipe link, my current one is for french fry spam casserole :D

Wouldn't you just convert the raw output to a lossless format then?
GP probably meant they'd change the data on the database to match their biometrics?
Heh, oddly enough FireFox started out as a "lite" version of the original Mozilla.

The engine behind it all is already GPL I believe. This bid will be for the whole package, including all of the art assets.
That doesn't attempt to execute the file?
(sorry, never used mac OS)

The second definition fits quite well.
The Myst series, anyone?

Sorry for the rant.

He said "paid for in cash"

Katamari seemed innovative, as did Shadow of the Colossus. And I have high hopes for Spore too.
No offense intended, but disabled actually means you are incapable of doing certain things.
Only in the same way Microsoft doesn't have a monopoly on software ;)

Penguins don't have feathers and they are birds. Just something to think about there ;)
And worms travel through a solid medium!
You think Linux is somehow immune to keyloggers?

I wonder how poor Mike feels about that?
I wouldn't like being whistled into all day.
