  1. Looks Familiar on Pre-Selling Domain Names? · · Score: 2, Interesting

I had similar problems with a registrar a couple of years ago. I didn't receive any notice of expiration and when it expired, they asked me to pay a 200 USD charge for reactivation... After some discussion, I could renew the domain for the normal price and as soon as I could I changed to another registrar, where all my domains are kept safe today, with many notices of their expiration dates.

First, they may be any region, almost all DVD players today are easy to unlock. Second, any DVDs in Brazil have original audio and almost all are closed-captioned - we like to watch DVDs in closed-captioned subtitles, brazilians usually hate non-original audio. Third, the cost of import I really can't say - that may be a problem, as it is very expensive for me as a brazilian to buy anything from any other country so I believe it may be expensive for anyone to buy things from Brazil. Fourth, I like to buy things at Americanas.com.br and Submarino.com.br, but I don't know if they ship abroad (I'm almost sure Americanas does it, via FedEx). The only problem is all the sites are in Portuguese. I think it may be easier to ask someone who is going to Brazil to buy things here to you.

I suggest you buy the DVDs in Brazil. :) Here the TOS box costs R$190 (very overpriced for Brazilians, but it's about 80 USD). As I don't have 190 to pay for a box, I'm waiting for some TOS fan friend to buy and then I'll copy everything. Thanks there is no RIAA in Brazil :)

  12. Windows users deserve it all! on Why Does Windows Still Suck? · · Score: 1

Windows has major security flaws found and not necessarily fixed in a regular basis. Plus, it has a idiot-friendly interface, attracting users with less brain than would be necessary to breath while you think. You mix these things and voilá, windows sux. But don't you think brainless windows lovers deserve this kind of problem?

(oh, yes, I run Linux - Gentoo. And althogh it's hard to install, it's MUCH MORE EASY to install software on it. Like "hey, I want firefox. Emerge firefox". So cute. But my parents run windows and I put them behind a hardware firewall. They never got viruses or spywares. Also, they have brain enough to ask me to make their home network safer. That's a big difference. And they don't run any kind of cpu-eating antivirus. Only thunderbird for mail, firefox for web and openoffice. So cute, huh? )
