I was laid off from a state university about a year ago, along with the rest of my IT department; about 27 people. They gave us four weeks' notice that we would no longer be employed there, and asked us to help transition to the new support system. Fortunately for that university, we are a bunch of good, honest people; otherwise, we could have wreaked anonymous havoc across the board. Personally, I think your company was wise in revoking your access, just as a failsafe. A better use of your skills and time than using you as a chairweight would be to have you train your replacement (if they have one).
Actually, Blaster was never pointed at Windows Update directly. Its target was windowsupdate.com which redirected to windowsupdate.microsoft.com. MS simply stopped the redirection for a while.
I personally employ the Australian convention both because of my time spent there, and because I think it more accurately reflects the verbal structure of the language.

Last I checked, the standard for one second was the period of one lightwave emitted from a cesium atom. Are we now changing the fundamentals of atomic resonance? If you ask me, they should have changed the length of the other time measurements (minute, hour, day, year) and given them a different name to prevent confusion.

is that they've not only stopped light, but made it go backwards, reversing time, so this 'discovery' got projected into the future, where we're reading about it now as if it were new, altho it's been done some time ago.

Then what's with the sig?
XOR means that only one of the two statements must be true while the other is false. You're thinking of XNOR.
Of course, the XBox is now almost 2 years old (launched in Nov of 2001)
last I checked, Nov 2001 -> Jan 2004 is a little over two years..
it's easy to criticize and tear apart the works of others
I concur.

On another note, I found a paper that poses another interesting concept.
