I find it hard believe that Apple wouldn't have protected itself against intellectual property being used by an ex-employee to develop a competitive product.
Wow you have some serious problems if you dont value your privacy. Its what this represents that is a concern. Nobody is baffled at the technology, its baffling how Apple feels comfortable doing this. Maybe it is pressure from the RIAA? Its not an Apple-like move in my book. Its also a worthless feature in MHO and I dont want my network getting feeds from Apple every time I play a friggin song. Its not horrifying its just lame.
That is not accurate. If I click on a David Bowie song in my library the mini store populates with all the David Bowie albums for sale, bio etc... in the Store.

How spoiled we have become. The shuffle is unbelievably small, holds a gig, weights less than most jewelry and the sound is good. Unthought of just few years ago. The push is for very portable music not the highest sound quality. If Apple was concerned only about sound they could easily make a large iPod with high quality sound that would need to be moved around in a backpack. When I bought my shuffle the only surprise for me was how close it came to sounding as good as a full size iPod.
Its not off topic at all. I looked at the app extensively and its a bloated version of iTunes. Too many features. ITunes works because it doesn't try to do too much. At least so far.
Didnt Netflix force BB to change its late fee policy? Didn't they start their online service after Netflix? Seems BB is follower not the leader. I couldn't stand the ridiculous late fee's that BB charged. It was not a user friendly policy. Their selection has always been the worst. Unless you thrive on mainstream and mainstream alone. Netflix service is the best video rental experience by far.
Also, judging by all the numerous "right moves" that Jobs has managed to make in the last few years I am sure it will fit into future plans for the Mac and the Ipod in ways that it does not right now.
Dear Meh,
I believe he was simply stating he uses it in his car cranked up and it clear and loud. Of course the quality of the sound coming from the input device effects this. Duh Meh.
Yea but it will take a two button mouse no problem dude >
"And yes, Mac mini will take advantage of your two-button USB mouse with scroll-wheel and your favorite USB keyboard. Just plug them in."
hmph!
I agree with this for the most part. Part of what makes it good is that it doesn't have some of the major annoyances that the windows version has. This is a very unlikely rumor to be true. If they would just ramp up Textedit I would be happy.

I can search the Music Store for more music by an artist I already own in the store on my own so how is this not adware? Its unsolicited.
WTF does Chicken little's shadow have to do with anything? Besides its the sky he is worried about.

Is it shut off or hidden?
Thats my only problem with it. You can hide it but there is no disable preference, unless I am just not seeing it.

apparently Netflix has this technology already in place. Its caught up in MPAA red tape.
What a novel idea. No thanks.
How much time this guy has on his hands. GEEZ, did he get paid for this review??
This is good news!
to even bring up the idea of Apple producing a product designed to fail.

how is it a bad move adding video support at no additional charge per ipod?
"audio power" I believe was not to be taken literally.

Its sounds very mechanical. Not very impressive really.
" they will implode the next time a major recession hits." Did the last recession end?? Someone should have told me!
With a wrap like that. shesh!
up until a few months ago.
