In the retail version of WoW you can simply click a checkbox and only get the patch straight from Blizzard.
Maybe in beta they required you to use the torrent system, but who cares, it was their beta and if someone didn't like that, they had lots of other people who would willingly take their spot.
No, it would be more like having to buy gas from Ford(Apple's DRMed AACs) or any neutral gas station(MP3, nonDRMed AACs, AIFF, WAV) instead of Chevy(Real DRM AACs).
You may have a point, but please keep your examples accurate...
If Intel had said that overclocking wasn't supported and wouldn't work on the box of the chip, then they have every right to make it not work.
If you use the bios update you expect them to give you, shouldn't they expect you to follow the rules they gave you?
Apple said you cannot play Real Media on your ipod. If playing Real Media was the reason you paid for your iPod, you're an idiot.
The whole "evil-government-controlled-cities" thing is IIRC entirely new in this game.
When I first started playing I thought to myself "did I miss something big in the first one?"

There is no subscription fee, and no, steam can't be removed without removing HL2 as well. This is for both retail and steam versions. The reason is that Steam is an integral part of the engine (for example, you can access your friends list while playing). However, once activated, you do not need an internet connection.
They've answered this before.
IIRC:
Tycho is the astronomer, and Gabriel is the Arch-angel Gabriel.
Jonathan just came about later, when they wanted a first name for him.
I agree with this whole-heartedly. As a 17 year old, I've got to say I don't like most of the crap coming out these days. I listen to a lot of classic rock (Doors, Zeppelin, Dire Straits) and some more current stuff (Tool, A Perfect Circle, Slipknot(yes I know, most of you are disgusted by this one)). I've found that in my highschool, underclassmen like "corporate" bands such as Linkin Park and Trapt, where as once they get older, their tastes shift more towards mine.
Just my observations...
I had this issue as well, but I can tell you, they didn't just fix everyone's xboxes "under the counter".
I read lots of forums about this. Apparently it was 50/50 whether or not they would just fix it. I was in the half that was forced to pay.
Right, but since the company is officially against and real-life currency conversion, wouldn't they also be exempt from US gambling laws?
Sort of like p2p software. Some people use it illegally, but the developers don't, so it's still legal.
Too bad guild wars isn't actually an MMORPG.
Unless you're in a party or in town, all the zones are solo. If you're in a party, it's ONLY your party.
Sort of like Diablo 2, which was by no means an MMORPG...
Just a comment on driving fast to "be tough". I drive fast, but it's just because it's fun. I acknowledge the danger, and I don't drive fast in traffic. It's a good adrenaline rush.
Some people skydive, I speed.

The summary suggest that Apple may be playing favorites, citing an article that concludes pretty definitely that they are not...
Vivendi owns Blizzard... They don't just produce their games...
Deep linking the apple store works for me...

This is Half-Life, not Halo ;)
Geforce 3? If you're looking for an economy solution, go drop $100 on a 9600XT. You'll thank me later.

Tonight they were back handing out fireworks to everyone.
How many ipod screens are there that you think were originally inteded for a laptop? This is a rediculous idea. iPods have like 2" screens....

Except in game currency could never be found to have an exchange rate with real life currency, since most games list such things as against the TOS
that a Half-Life 2 banner is on the side of the article...

Though they can bring their loaded m16's onto school busses, and wave them at the kids. (Speaking from experience... my highschool is on the USAFA)
I did this last year in my High School Phys class. It's for real.
wow, I'm retarded and didn't realize that this article was ripped off... please have mercy... :)
Damn dude, you should have been logged in! I need good people for my friends list... Mod Parent Up...
