Quick Question: (Completely off-topic)...
In civil engineering how do you tell the B.S. candidates from the actual quality candidates?
So as far as I've seen it's about 1 good in 20 total.
I must be too judgmental. Also, anywhere to find your contact info?
Every day I keep seeing more and more apple products cracked, shattered, outdated, unsupported and useless.
The company who is famous for their support and quality is oddly now unsupportive and producing low quality products.
I think the finance guru's have infiltrated the ranks of what was once a excellent budding technology company.
A great example of this is the proprietary lock-in technology death is facetime. While facetime is just google video chat, the two systems do not integrate. Ultimately sealing Skype's dominance as a unifier in the world of video chat. This position is a direct failure to lead a market with innovation and instead strangles an emerging market with restrictions. iMessage is another great example of apple's failure as a leader.
That said, Andriod is a lost puppy, sony shoots their customers repeatedly, Nokia still can't find their white flags to make friends, RIM way up in canada just heard about a guy named Obama and Microsoft can't figure out which company to buy.
I guess I see why Apple is the market leader, all it takes is to beat out the rest....
In the thread about it someone posted modified code that can actually compile.. (Even with cygwin!) http://www.russotto.net/~russotto/ADVENT/
I just compiled and it was flawless, so cheers
Most projects that do this keep a management system on both of the branches of the code.
This way when they publish their GPD'ed code they just publish the entire code minus the 3rd party functions and sections. The way I've run into it is they just have the third party stuff kept seperate from the OSS content. That way you can still mainly work with the OSS stuff with out the copywritten stuff. (just means you have broken functions all over the place)
after waiting tables for quite a long time. that is not the normal situation. The watier has bought the food on his line of credit against the restraunt as soon as he picks up the plate in the kitchen. His bill to you is his problem not the restraunts. If he screws it up, he'll pay for it at the end of the night out of his tips.
You just end up being a quick, nice guy who can remember to add up everything. I've forgotten to add tons of crap onto peoples bills, when your running 10 tables crap happens. Do I get mad at the tables for not correcting my failure to document a sale? no that would be silly. It's the sellers error, and the seller eats it. (Cost of doing business). Running 10 tables for a entire night, buying a plate of food is really a minimal cost.
Amazon is not just selling 100 dvd's a month they are selling millions. The fact that a few thousand ended up costsing them 100% loss. Well, thats just the cost of doing business. I'm sure it won't hurt their bottom line.
Awe.. and who says they are breaking CSS when they do it couldn't they just as easily said they bought a dvd player, and captured the input and encoded it? Would that not be a legal way to make a digital copy?
This is really a childish game put on by the MPAA.. They get their dam'ed money in the end, their problem is that they don't get enough.. Saddly Expect to see more of these. with the speed of internet/cpu's today there is absolutely no reason why we do not have fully functioning remote libraries of movies purchased with public funds.
The only way the people of california should back this.. is if 100% of the award.. goes to creating a mass transit system. No lawyers fee's, No campaign contributions, Just fund a construction project to move people fast, efficient and CLEAN.
I'm a student.. I give out my personal information even time i enter a office. Me($.43) and my $13.03 dollar checking account need to balance my money in and out. I doubt google will make much cash off my use, but still they offer. And your running around screaming foul, At least google tells you they are stealing your info.
MS just hides it in a eula and expects you to be ok with no rights to your own work.
yeah, I was at that final.. I was the kid behind you.. I nailed the final also. Except the night before and after the final. I got nailed by my girlfriend. When i only assumed you were A) busy studying in the library, or B) sleeping for 2 days till it wore off.
When I hear of these companies downsizing or screwing over their workers. I just make sure of one thing i can control. I will never do business with them. Never say never, but dare if i lay down and allow my morgage to pass through their slim ridden fingers.
So, The large corporations are now backstepping. Wait when we ran all of those small companies out of business by undercutting them and promising the world (and providing something much less) we were actually ruining another business model?
They are in year long contracts now with people who had a expectation of a service. Since most isp's haven't constantly been upgrading capacity as their client base grows, there is going to be a huge thunk when people realize that there has been a lot of pocketing profits. Profits that should have gone into improving the network.
The whole bitching over this thing is trivial. If you really think your phone conversations are 'secure' then you are saddly mistaken. Telecommunications corps. are like giant black holes for information. Put on a yellow vest and you can walk right in and request any information you want. Yes, Terriost, or 15 year old kids can do the same dam thing.
As the UK posters, Why would your government tell you about a secret database of phone calls? I am sure in the UK the inteligence community has a little tigher grasp on the media, you know with their ability to locate all of the vechicles at any given moment.
These are not new ideas. What is 'new' is they are being half-assed reported. Reporters are scrambling for a story so quickly that they do not A) check facts and/or B) care about what their stories say. With the invent of cable news, has also come 23.5 hours of worthless topics and rehashing cspan.
If it is a secret government spying ring, I seriously think we should leave it up to the gentlemen with the PHD in pych. who has worked his way up to his position.
If and when it is used illegaly, then there should be action from the justices. Not congress.
So........ When i went to purchase these 25,000 computers with my trusty Internet Explorer v4.0, I actually got A DEAL!. They tossed in a extra computer now I control 25,001. These guys are soo nice!.
I grew up with siblings.. So.. I never heard 'turn it down', if it was too loud one of two things happened. I got punched in the size with a 'Turn it F'ing down'..
Or someone ripped the headphones off my head inorder for them to use it.
Both of these of course ended up with a manditory fight, something or someone always ended up broken. Yet now i do not run around blasting my music loud or doing other equally stupid actions.;)
So not physical punishment just siblings, a always giving "Feature" in life.
bad idea. But hey it's just public airwaves, what is the worst that could happen?

Encryption: @#$SFJD@#$SD
Encoded: 42
"encrypted and encoded" is way better than encoded encryption.. People would be trying to
guess at the switching encryption method for ever.

Just my two cents..

i vote we fix that starting with you. ;P
Oh, western culture is so much worse than eastern culture, with their freaking eastern desert landscape!

If you are unhappy with their project you can always send them a email.
Their email address is on the site: UCLA@PrimateFreedom.com

ya know I said the same thing about biology 1.2 billion years ago.. Funny thing it just keep getting more complex. ;)
Ok, Fine..
but will they at least write some good encryption software todo it with.
Most encryption software sucks.
Side note, would this also mean we don't have to use the verisign terriost any more?
