If you look at for example Thresher Wine Shop in the UK from last year (holiday season 2006-7), they had a problem with people distributing discount coupons all over the internet.
Of course, that was an 'accident', and not a cynical marketing ploy...

Funny how the heat was never an issue running Telengard on a PET2001. I guess the 64k processor used alot more power... IIRC they both used the same processor, a 6502.

May I point you towards the works of Blind Guardian, Manowar, Hammerfall and Iron Maiden, for examples of metal music with plenty of 'melody and harmony'.

    Woah!

    Firstly, it's spelt 'Champagne'.

Secondly, there is such a thing as 'Champagne Cognac' - nothing to do with the sparkling wine, but a specific part of the Cognac region with (IIRC) chalky soil.

Either way, no cider isn't distilled from wine, but rather fermented apple juice (and up to 25% fermented pear juice).

This talk of alcoholic beverages has made me thirsty.

I exclusively use firefox on linux... but still miss a couple of things from IE.

    • Pressing ctrl + D on firefox focuses the address bar, but doesn't highlight the text.
    • Backspace doesn't go 'back'
Nothing at all major... but I still find myself using those shortcuts, and finding they don't work as expected.

I certainly don't miss pop-ups, spyware and general bugginess though.
